What do you HATE when we buy a new bike and e-bike ?

I hate the wait, buyers doubt intensifys the closer to delevery and its all gone (more importantly price forgotten) once it's in my hands and it meets expectations.

Buy now or wait brexit ??‍♂️

Just to add about preparedness etc I had a parcel from Poland arrive in the UK before new years (along with alot of other fellow UK kickstarter backers). The parcel has entered Dartford and has been stuck there ever since waiting for customs to clear it with no sign of when it'll be cleared...

Buy now or wait brexit ??‍♂️

Well I have had a parcel (from Poland) sit in Dartford Fedex for the last 7days no explanation why (I assume backlog), no way to find out tracking saying 'truck has departed before parcel has been processed' since the 28th It's part of a kickstarter project all of the UK backers whose parcels...

You can always use a parcel forwarding company. I had to do this on a Germany exclusive toy (playmobil crane) which they refused to ship to the UK had it sent to a parcel forwarding company and on too me for a small fee. You can also change declared value/content too if that's your thing.. I...

Rear mudguard that works - IMHO

I have the old Zefal on my acoustic bike. I was a mudguard snob for years. Orginally added to skip the brown racing stripe on my nice clothes on the school run. It was so good I kept it on been on some real bog busters and didnt end up with a gritty arse.

    Lightening up an ebike

I can't believe no one stated the obvious drill holes in everything, strip all the paint and hollow Ti fasteners for everything..... worked fine for porsche I think the fact of the matter is the majority of the weight in your bike is in parts that cant be easily modified (frame/motor/battery)...

Buy now or wait brexit ??‍♂️

I always loved buying a item from the USA just above the import threshold being charged import duty, vat and then a handling fee (having it held for a week while they sent me the payment demand) doubling the cost and the shipping time. Every time I had this overwhelming feeling of patriotism...

Thok news release on Covid Supply problems (To the industry as a whole)

I'd place a bet differently. When there's a buck to be made business finds away of making it. I doubt prices will go down but availability by mid summer will probably be ok.. Smaller brands like boxcomponents.com might get the big break they need if they can scale up and aren't located in china...

    Which 4x4 vehicle?

worth mentioning if your concerned about getting stuck in a field more off road style tyres are better than a 4x4 with summer tyres. The trade off is the noise and mpg. Me personally I'd like an swb black van with an auto box (too lazy to ride a clutch in traffic) with winter tyres. Why black...

Protecting my legs from nasty vegitation

In shorts its Long socks or arm/leg warmers for me, helps with stingers but not thorns. Its common enough come across over grown paths full with stinging nettles here so always carry arm/leg warmers since they weigh nothing have lots of uses. Long pants aren't so bad if you get one with...

    Dengfu E10 - The CHEEB V1.0 - Discussion

Good job on the painting. Its a fickle and nerve racking in my experience without the ability to control temperature and humidity. I've experienced how fickle the mystical science of temperature/humidity/paint is. I've had to clear coat a few things (and sand back more than one), There's always...

Radon pulling out of UK market?

If I won Euromillions I would hire a team 24/7 to follow Boris with Benny Hill music and fly a giant red brexit bus balloon.
