True but that doesn't stop people putting in 20inch wheels on their cars ?♀️
Canyon came out and said do not put a 29inch front wheel on the torque (source: some youtube review) but they didn't expressly forbid a 603. Given both batteries are the same size I think you'd be hard pressed so...
So I defiantly hate the wait currently April/21. I see people getting other bikes I considered and get bike envy ?
My rational side says its a bog where I live at the moment, knacker all the bearings, silly to take a new bike into that, probably for the best. But then there's that other voice...
Why not let people spec their own battery(s) to suit them selves? I get its harder to plan for stockwise, but Canyon is meant to be a largest EU wholesale distributor of bike parts.
They might have 100 frames but not enough parts for a whole bike. But but mixing and matching what avaible they might be able to use up all their left overs as specials, maximising profit in this high demand market. No point in discounting 2020 bikes they can't get the parts to finish them till...
my guess the reason for the specials is based on what they can get their hands on currently in enough numbers to justify a small run due to the regular edition bikes struggling for parts to complete. Flush out their remaining 2020 stock
@akuria maybe but the stag beetle is part of the Scarabaeoidea a little marketing bluring/stretching and you get a cool image and cool name throw in some pearlescent paint..
Maybe its the German name Hirschkäfer or Lucanus
Agree with the base camp riding and 2 batteries. But I still want a 603w for that day or two a year where you might go on a long loop somewhere I guess you could always try and hire one assuming it fits?
The weight saving is 0.8kg using the 500w to keep it below that magic 25KG?
603w/3.7kg @...
? dang thats a good price on the torque: on 8 nice paint too
Marin e2 or Torque: on 8 oh noes YT is coming out today too.. ?
I'd rather have the option for a 29 because its easier to go down to a 27.5 and a 603wat battery with a 500spare
If gt85 didnt work which was going to be my suggestion try some gt85 with Interdental Brushes like piksters or airbrush cleaning brushes (although they do shed bristles so I would use the flossers). If your hand gets tired you can pop the piksters in a dill on low speed.
A more nuclear option...
The price is there firstly to get people to talk about the bikes and drive traffic to the muc-off site. Car companies do this with their daft priced watches etc although there's always at least a few people that'll buy, for them it also makes for excellent corporate gifts which can be written...
I never thought it was made with emtb in mind, I was more thinking the layout of the rear suspension could work well with a mounted motor and battery. I seem to recall some companies needing to redsign quite a bit to fit a motor in, when you look at yeti's set up for example (then again they...
I have no problem lifting 25kg (when we get to 90kg cast iron cabinet saws then I struggle ?), but in some places where staff load them all day I can see why employers are covering themselves. Its not just chair lifts either trailers I seem to remember staff loading them.
I think that's why the EU speed limit makes sense. Being no faster than a person could run makes it a hard to ban them based on speed alone. Meter for meter I doubt ebikes cause more erosion, but you probably do more miles than on a regular bike so the impact is larger. I never considered the...
Due to stock/demand levels and the way CRC 'cycle to work' works (needs a quote first) I knew it would be impossible to get hold of these when they came out. Shame banging bike glad I have a Marin e2 on pre-order or I would have been ?
Next interesting bikes will be the YT and the Canyon offerings
My guess is an e7000/small battery similar price as before and a ep8 all with entry level rockshox. Seems everyone's done something similar using the e7000 shimano must have them on clearance..
