I've assumed that the sensor works on a principle similar to the old types we used to use on the front wheel with non-GPS cycle computers and a magnet attached to a spoke, i.e., it just picks up a signal on each revolution, counts revolutions per min, and calculates speed based on wheel...
We always carry this goop (along with a spare tube) with us on extended rides. A single can will seat the bead and fully inflate a 27.5x3.0 tire (tested at home in the garage). Al Boneta mentioned it in post #35 of the "bits and bobs" thread.
It's also handy for tubed tires. We've found that...
Good warning! All you need to do, however, is slap a magnet on a disc rotor to trigger the sensor.
We use center lock hubs on our bikes and wanted to use our wide wheels (45mm inner rim width) for desert sand riding on our Levos. The only steel rotors we had were the 6-bolt rotors that came on...
We use a Kuat rack, sometimes with a 2-bike extension. Very sturdy. Recommend by Al Boneta who transports up to 4 ebikes on his. Pic below shows ours with 2 Levos and 2 Stumpjumpers.
Another convert here. Like 'em more than RF Chesters and HT AE03/ME03 pedals used previously. Inexpensive, US$50. Now running composite OneUp pedals on all bikes.
Mrs levity and I have not noticed any creaking on our 2018 Comp Carbon Levos in 9 months, but maybe we're too focused on the fun. Will try to listen more carefully as we abuse them once again tomorrow...
edit: Bike ran smoothly and quietly today, as always. What exactly is the noise some of...
Yes, great pics from a beautiful part of the country, Church. Keep 'em coming.
I definitely need to get up that way.
Not sure what new rear wheel Specialized is providing as a warranty replacement, but you could certainly do a lot better than the OEM one that comes on the Kenevo. The front...
Not really “modded”, but since Al asked here’s our Pleasure Way Plateau van. Not much to do since it came with a sink, stove, fridge, freezer, bathroom, shower, queen bed and TV (yes, we’re quite spoiled!). We did make some minor mods for comfort on the inside, and we replaced the basic OEM 400w...
Ouch! What have you tried?
The battery lights will look normal even with the motor disconnected. Have you tried electrical contact cleaner on the plug connection? (The only problem we've had with our Levos was forgetting and leaving the connector unplugged, DOH!)
I'd fiddle with it quite a bit...
Hmmm, I wouldn't use regular WD40 on electrical contacts because it leaves a residue (mostly kerosene). There are contact sprays specific for electrical components, many just using a volatile solent such as isopropanol. WD40 does make a SPECIALIST electrical contact cleaner that uses hexane as...
Mrs levity and I each have 2018 Levo Comp Carbon bikes, purchased Dec. 2017. We've put in lots of miles and had lots of smiles on a wide range of trail conditions with no problems. Plenty of power, easily handles the steepest grades we've tried. The component spec is good, although we built new...
A sweet machine! I'd think it would be the perfect enduro "trainer" - more runs and a good workout handling the extra weight. But yes, that would be a real luxury.
Mrs levity would have great fun on it, but we're across the pond, so she'll just have to be happy with her Levo :giggle:
Someone...
1. Yes, the Levo will shut itself off after about 10 min of not being used. Just restart and be on your way (but note that you will again start off in Turbo power mode).
2. Assuming you have the 2.8 Butcher Grid tires 24psi is OK for street riding, but you'll get a better ride (cushioning and...
