Mondraker "forward geometry" is significantly different than everyone else. You can't compare reach numbers to other brands, it won't make sense. They run a 30mm stem for a reason (they actually wanted to run shorter but found "the market" rejected it).

One possibility is using different cells.

I know CC says it's ok, but a 9.5mm shaft just doesn't cut it on these bikes IMO (unless maybe it's made from something super strong a la the MRP but even theirs is 14mm). Worse comes to worst, buy the EXT and save the CC as a spare for when you have to send the EXT for service :)

FYI, the SD300 cable isn't too short. Multiple people have posted that you can pull it out to reach a display no problem.
