I don't have a good climbing mtb to compare it to. My analog bike is an enduro with 160mm rear travel and no lockout. I'll try to pay more attention on my next climb.
Thanks for sharing! You are lucky that it didn't fall out during the ride, that could be scary. I wonder when they redesigned it, when did you order your frame? I am going to remove and weigh mine.
Interesting, a great example of leveraging the enonomies of scale. If they were only producing 10% of what they are they may not have been able to recoupe that retooling investment and therefore wouldn't be able to offer better pricing than competitive products.
#1 Economies of scale
Tesla makes only a few models and they have produced them for several years without major retooling. Big bike companies have several models with several build levels and several sizes of each. Small companies have fewer models but sell a lot less units. The cost of each...
You're welcome I hope the videos are helpful. The dropper post is great but the lever it came with was cheap so I replaced it with the lever below and now it works very well.
I am not entirely sure which olive/needle is required but from what I could see it looks like BH-59. I didn't have to cut either brake line so I could only see the olive and the end of the needle.
Your list of tools looks good. Having a chain whip tool to hold the chain ring while you tighten...
Thanks! I am surprised how much I like my FreeSky with the Manitou fork, DNM shock and the drive upgrades, it's surprisingly plush. It's fun for plowing over rocky trails. The LCE930 is awesome though, it rides like a bike costing 3 times as much as I paid to build it. I am so excited to ride it...
I was finally able to get a solid ride in today. I go over my impressions of the bike at the end of the video but overall I am very pleased with it. I am happy with all of my component choices, the geometry of the bike, and the power delivery of the Bafang M820. The ride was 9.7 miles with 974...
I just got back from a 9 mile ride actually. I plan on putting up a video today or tomorrow.
The brakes are better than I am used to. I had to adapt to them with a lighter pull. The slack is adjustable so the left and right side are identical and just how I like them. My rotors are 2mm.
I...
You will need the lower bushings (M8 x 22.2mm) if your shock doesn't come with them but everything else is included. A 185x55 trunnion shock the correct length, no adapters required.
Thanks! Yeah I have been painting vehicles for quite a while. I took my chances in order to avoid painting the black and gray areas. If it doesn't stick I'll be redoing it which won't be a big deal.
The Aurora store is included in the OS I use on my phone (CalyxOS) but you should be able to download it directly from their website. auroraoss.com
Again, I didn't install it this way but it should work. Once you have it installed you can find the application by searching for "bafang". When you...
