    Lightcarbon LCE930 Custom Build - DV8

The frame came painted in matte black. I roughed up the paint with some 800 grit sandpaper and wiped it down with alcohol before applying the paint. The paint and clearcoat I used:

Some tire brands offer emtb specific tires but I believe the majority of riders (including myself) use regular mtb tires with a thick downhill/enduro casing. I went with lighter casing and I hope I don't regret it. I will be installing Cushcore inserts which should help.

Anyone experience with forks or shocks from aliexpress? I'm quite eager to try some

Yikes! You make a valid point. While mountain biking is inherently dangerous it doesn't make sense compound that with poorly made or maintained components. I did quite a bit of research before buying the DNM. It has a solid history of reliable performance based on hundreds of reviews. With that...

Anyone experience with forks or shocks from aliexpress? I'm quite eager to try some

Good point, the DNM may end up being disposable. At it's price point that may be okay if it holds up for a few years and I am still happy with it. I agree. The only brands I would consider testing at this point are priced up there with entry level name brand forks and probably not worth the hassle.

Bafang Go+, is it a new App for all motors ?

I use an app called the Aurora Store instead of the Google Play Store and it allows you to choose an older version. Version 2.1.0 is build 83.

Bafang Go+, is it a new App for all motors ?

I reverted to Go+ 2.1 for now which solves the error. Hopefully they will put out a newer working version.

    M820 Bafang - LIGHTCARBON LCE930 Frame (lightweight)

I split mine but it was a massive pain. It might be worth trying to run them down one side. I dread the day I have to take it apart again.

    Lightcarbon LCE930 Custom Build - DV8

I finally had an opportunity for a short trail ride. Unfortunately the ground was soft so I had to take it easy. The trail I took is a steady, rocky climb with switchbacks. Powerwise it's about what I expected. It helped me out a lot but I was winded at the top of the climb. It likes a higher...

Anyone experience with forks or shocks from aliexpress? I'm quite eager to try some

I have a DNM AOY-36RC shock on my fat tire ebike and it works very well. I have a around 400 miles of trail riding on it. It has low and high compression air chambers. Once you get the pressure dialed in it handles the small stuff very well but ramps up quickly to prevent bottoming out. I would...

SZZS specific CEF50-main thread (initial builds and troubleshooting related only)

Cool! I have an LCE930 that I just finished building. I am patiently waiting for the trails to dry out so that I can ride it.

SZZS specific CEF50-main thread (initial builds and troubleshooting related only)

I have a pixel 6 with android 14 and Bluetooth 5.2 and have the same "operation failed" issue. Others have reported it as well. Hopefully Bafang fixes the issue soon.

    LightCarbon LCE971, VPP/DW, Bafang M510/M600/M560

I believe like the LCE930 this is to allow for the cable routing. The special headset narrows it so that it can take a traditional tapered fork.

Based on The headset cable routing is definitely a bit annoying. I feel good about the engineering, testing, and build quality of lightcarbon frames. If I didn't already have an emtb in this segment I would love to build an LCE971 to complement my SL LCE930.

    LightCarbon LCE971, VPP/DW, Bafang M510/M600/M560

From what I have learned, please correct me if I am wrong: The LCE971 has what is often called a more modern geometry. Slacker head tube angle, longer reach, shorter chainstay, etc.. This makes it better suited for more aggressive enduro/downhill riding. The LCE39 has a taller stack and...

Are EMTB Forums a good substitute for bike manufacturer support?

Between YouTube (the bait) and EMTB forums (the hook line and sinker) I gained the confidence I needed to carry out my LIGHTCARBON LCE930 build. It's clear that there are a number of quality, tested frame/motor options to suit the needs of just about every rider. The question is, is the...

Another great idea. You are right, these types of tips should probably be in the general LCE930 thread for maximum exposure.
