Running 160mm travel, feels about right to me
The Aggressor has been great so far in the dry, yet to test it in the wet. Yes, DD casing, anything less starts to squirm through the corners.
I had 3 rides so far and loving the setup! the bike feels fast and the front feels lighter. It takes alot...
I'm Dutch but live in NZ :)
...but I stand by my recommendation of heavier casings as a no brainer upgrade for anyone who's planning to ride the hills. From my experience and others that I ride with, we've all had dramas with pinches, tyre roll, and sidewall bulges from lighter casings but...
I've been a little bored during lockdown so thought I'd do some tinkering :)
Just waiting on a spring before I test ride and review.
added bits:
DVO Jade X coil shock - custom-tuned for Maestro/my weight
DVO Onyx 29er fork - custom-tuned
Custom Light bicycle Carbon wheels (added layers of...
My top 3:
TYRES: get some decent rubber that suits your riding conditions. A lot of bikes come with thin casing, why? I'm not sure but they won't last long. go for a DD or DH casing. Be sure to go tubeless at the same time.
GREASE: Is grease an upgrade? Unless your LBS is top-notch, chances are...
So would you believe this started happening again 3 days into lockdown? really bummed out that I now can't go for little rides to keep my sanity.
does anyone have a way to fix this controller issue?
Going tubeless will help with general punctures and still worth doing on your skinwalls at this stage. Pinch flats are still a risk with thin casings but you can mitigate the risk by running higher pressures (20PSI+) and carrying a tubeless repair kit on your rides. I'd still run your current...
Like any other tyre but I'd stay away from tan walled Maxxis tyres as they're only available in the EXO casing. Sure they look cool on the bike but are prone to pinch flats.
I hate riding with other EMTB's!! :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
My experience riding with other Ebikes has been pretty shite. The pace seems to go and up and up along with assist levels. Every EMTB only group ride I've been on, someone has drained a battery. Always the same lie "I'm only in eco" It's...
I've been thrashing the MT7's for a few weeks now and so far so good (mostly)
The good:
The Maguras are far more powerful than my old SRAM Codes but at the expense of a little modulation which is a trade-off that I'm happy with. The 2 pad configuration is interesting and I'm looking forward to...
