Yamaha ditching stock at 1/2 price event going on now!

Saw this on another forum and thought I'd share it here because it seems like a pretty good deal? Here is a teaser

Not in the market but went through the steps to see if it was true and it is, although they did slip a delivery fee, which is only to a nearby according to zip code dealer apparently, of $242 to my zip code which may vary on how far from their warehouse you are? In my case the closest dealer was 100 miles away but I live in the boonies.

The extra battery is nice because the bikes only have 500wh batteries which granted would take care of most day to day riding but bumping up to 1000wh for epic rides carrying the 2nd one is definitely doable. Plus the 5yr warranty backed by Yamaha, no fly by night operation I might add.

BTW it is not just for this model but ALL of their bikes including the Wabash Gravel bike which I've seen some good press on actually since it came out so if you have been on the fence about a drop bar bike the price on it is less than $2k.

Just picked mine up. I bought mine in the first 24hrs after the promo went live. The website charged me $1,675 for Moro 7 and $15 recycling fee. Didn't believe it would go through. 2 weeks later the dealer called. I had to pay $50 for assembly and $25 for local bs. All in, it's less than $1800 for Moro 7, extra battery, 5yr warranty. Insane. The kit alone is worth more than that (Lyric Charger, RS SDS, Magura, Shimano XT, etc).
The bike does feel a bit short at the front. I run several Status mullets in different configuration, and a Cassidy in a mullet. Anything with a square setup feels odd to me. I'll be putting either a Fox 36 29" 150mm or a Mezzer Expert 29" somewhere between 150mm-170mm. Will try both wheel sizes but leaning toward sticking with 27.5.
It's nice to manual an eMTB for once. My first bike was a terrible choice of a Large at my 175cm height. 500mm reach. Can't even flip it on the back wheel with all of my strength. Spent $5k and basically never rode it. So this is the first eMTB I will actually enjoy.

Happy with my $2744 total (had to pay N.J. sales tax since that's where I have to go to pick it up). Guessing this is coming from CA so it'll probably take at least a week to get across the country.

It's still an amazing deal at $2700. Yamaha is definitely losing money at that price. If eMTB wasn't 1% of their business, they'd be closing the doors.

Well it seems that will be all the Yamaha sales here in the U.S. for the forseeable future so get them while you can!

I hope their bikes are well made as 5 year warranty is only as good as the availability of parts and techs who know how to work on the bikes if they turn out to be lemons.

Interesting there is no movement on price in Australia still $8000 aud here and I haven’t seen one in the wild at any trail.

It's because they appear to only be closing down the U.S. market. They are not the first company to do so that has continued to sell eBikes on other continents. BH is a recent example and ACCELL has toned down it's presence here severely also after being really aggressive at the start of their popularity here with their Haibike and LaPierre brands that are also still available elsewhere.

I went and touched one at the area DFW dealer (Only one dealer for the whole North Texas area). Glad is was close for me. It was just assembled and waiting on the customer to pick it up. Anyway, these are real nice, well equipped ebikes with good reviews. I was impressed, so we ordered one of the yellow ones for the son-in-law. We expect to pick it up one day next week. With the price drop, he gets a quality new ride at a price that just fits in his budget.



The split rail frame design to house the shock and battery is unique, I was worried that it might be a weakness, but after looking at that bike, I felt it was strong enough.

I have a brand new Moro 7 for sale. It was purchased for my wife who has not used it at all. Her doctor has banned her from riding. It’s a size small and listed on the for sale forum

Ok...this is why I have a love hate relationship with you guys. I ran across this thread and was intrigued. I have always been really impressed with the Yammie bikes and the pricing seemed crazy low. Very unique build and styling. Did a Youtube search and watched a few reviews this morning here at work. The Moro 7 looks like a awesome spec for way less than $3k OTD. Sooooo....I called the closest Yammie dealer expecting to hear none in stock....they had 2 mediums in blue in stock and still in the box. So...I did a really dumb thing and bought one sight unseen and told them not to unbox it, I'll do the set up myself to save them the hassle. I pick her up either tomorrow or Saturday. Like I need another friggin bike. Thanks a lot guys...lol. Hopefully ride it this Sunday with a little write up.

The Moro 7 is a serious e-bike. It’s not for street cruising but more a cross country or even a enduro bike. It’s beautifully made a spec’d. The current sale includes a spare battery which must be worth north of $500. The group set is Shimano Deore XT, great RockShox Fork and rear suspension and four piston brakes with large rotors. This is better specs than my Specialized Turbo Levo Comp. Oh the tires are the best available at the moment, Maxxis front and rear. It’s ready to shred not for shopping
The one I bought for my wife, a size small, is up for grabs completely new and unridden.

You're welcome! You won't regret it, it's an awesome bike especially at this price. The blue paint job looks 100x better in person than in the pics on their site.

I just ordered one but since the deal is over I paid $2999 For a blue moro 07. Still, The cheapest EMTB I have perched yet. I could not find the 07 anywhere except one place in size medium and after I perched it they sold out so looks like I got there last one. we'll see.... If it comes the first thing I will change is the 165 cranks. 155 will make the riding much nicer in this rocky desert I live in.
