Laggan Wolftrax today arrived 11 am no one there . Cafe lad turned up 10 minutes later. Near the top met the lad who designed and maintains the trail clearing a few trees that had fallen across trail. Did two runs then back to van still nobody there cafe shut ten minutes later. £4 parking fee for day was all they made , that's not much profit. Took one look at Ayres rock and thought that looks steeper than summer when i did it 0, and on my own was the only excuses I needed not to do it. 20 years old this trail . I had a Xmas meal at 4 pm to go to at Kingussie with my walking club . I definitely made the best choice cycling the hill walking was horrible they said .

20 miles Friday and 20 miles Saturday, both days pedalup @ Bpw on my medium (aka too small) Trek Rail5

Nothing actually broke but I’m thinking of new rear brake pads🫠

Been a long day.

I turned my bike on. Checked for an update on the app. Discovered there hasn't been one since the last time.
I turned it off and continued sulking.
Another 2 weeks before I can go riding again after my surgery. I think I'll last one more. Then I'll go postal.

Just fitted one of the Muc Off Big Bore valves to see how easy it is and to see if it holds pressure

Will do the other at the weekend if it stays up

Only issue is these are schrader and my CO2 inflator is Presta Only, so had to order a new one

lastnight replaced front wheelbearings for my mrs's Ksl, its a Nukeproof Horizon v2 wheel and has done well as one of the wheels I bought from wiggle ~18 months ago...

think this one has done ~2000miles @ Bpw and most of them on her bike

suppose I'd better get some more bearings as stock for whenever...

Yes, keep the price tags on everything until they naturally fall off.

I put a new E-Wild on the rear and all went well until re-fitting the rear wheel. Anyone know of an easy way to re-fit the rear wheel with a Shimano LG derailleur? For the life of me I couldn't get the chain back on the small sprocket whilst lining up the disk with the pads..ended up removing the derailleur to give some clearance. Note..this is a Shimano Linkglide mech which only pivots on the bottom jockey wheel instead of the more usual dual pivoting derailleurs...and of course being Shimano it has no wheel change mech lockout button like a SRAM...a right royal pain in the backside.

I was thinking along those lines but I don't think it'll work with Link Glide. So if anyone else runs into this problem order some spare quick links (part no. Shimano SM-CN900 11 speed) and save yourself a load of time , swearing, and hassle.
..just split the chain and give it a good wash in diesel/degreaser whilst it's off. 2 for less than a fiver on eBay, bargain.

Not sure if this would make a difference , but take the chain off the front chainring giving you a bit more slack.
