Rock Shox Meg Neg 230 x 57.5 for my Trek Rail 9.8 XT.
Cheap only if used in private areasHi all !
A cheap but very efficient upgrade (35€ with TVA), I bought a ST-Unlocker license !
Not really for the bike, but I've been looking for a new pack with better ventilation for my back. I don't take that much on the trails (multitool, CO2, spare tube, levers, couple of granola bars, first aid kit) so wanted something with a good hydration pack and a good storage setup.
Went with the Osprey Syncro 5. Despite reviews saying the lined pocket would not fit a cell phone, my Note 10 fits fine. Really like Osprey hydration bladders. They are the easiest to fill or clean I have come across.

Fanny packs were never a consideration. IMO, no way to never look like a complete dork with one.

Hello, what else did you anticipate concerning saving the geo?Have some new upgrades coming, got the fork and hub now just need to get the spokes in to build up my new 29er front wheel to change my bike to a 170/170mm 29/27.5 mullet setup.

So fork axel to crown length should be almost the same?My Devinci AC comes as a 27.5 wheel size with 180mm front & 170mm rear travel. I know of a few people that work at Devinci run my same bike with a 29er front and switch the front fork to a 170mm travel and say that setup is awesome.
So other than reducing the travel 10mm to help compensate going to a 29er front nothing really.
I also ordered some 160mm cranks from Miranda to try out as I was getting quite a few pedal strikes with the 170mm cranks that come with the bike.
Will the 27.5 fork have enough clearance for a 29er wheel/tyre?My Devinci AC comes as a 27.5 wheel size with 180mm front & 170mm rear travel. I know of a few people that work at Devinci run my same bike with a 29er front and switch the front fork to a 170mm travel and say that setup is awesome.

Nice. Liking that? I’ve noticed a lot of the bike stands don’t seem to grip the formed top tubes. Yours also seems to have a limited grip. Be careful she doesn’t drop out due to the extra weight of an emtb. I made this beast(also doubles as a work bench with ply top for diy projects) it builds & dismantles in less than a minute. Takes up no room at all in my shed. Here's mine. 21 Cube Hybrid Stereo 160 SL View attachment 40819
Love the sidewall look. Sounds daft but it's transformed its look.Well after deciding to keep my Focus for the foreseeable future I decided to treat it to a slightly new look...

Maybe not to everyone's taste admittedly, tyres fitted to new spare set of wheels for more road and light trail use.
Don't tell anyone but I've also set them up tubeless ?
