How do we install? Do we have to delete the old version and install the new? I don't see an option to update the app?

Just go the appstore, search for BLEvo and then press the could icon with the arrow pointing downward and the update will be installed.

New version for iOS 13 ?? today. Uploaded to Strava with map and was accurate. I’ve been using the Smart configuration Expert mode, simple. Next I’m going to experiment with Bike Set up modes, despite being a bit confused on how it’ll work. Thanks for updating. Peace

The 2019 Kenevo doesn't support shuttle mode according to my knowledge.

I have a 2019 Levo and honnestly even didn't tried shuttle mode yet. When I go biking I like to train and work (although it's an ebike). My question would be, what is shuttle mode actually? According to my opinion, it's just a setting which requires less leg power (than normally) to reach a the same motor output. If you agree, then you might be interested to search on this thread to the BLEvo settings screenshots which I posted in this thread about two weeks ago.

According to my feeling, if you like shuttle mode on a 2019 Kenevo, than that would be more or less the same when using BLEvo smart power where you set the leg power threshold to a low(er) value than usual.

I hope this makes sense...

Re shuttle mode: I have been riding uphill in shut off ski lift gates using Turbo mode and it works really well. No need for more power because you either roll over or loose grip.
Never used shuttle mode either.

Definitely related but my brain started to hurt a bit trying to think that through - not to mention I don't have Shuttle Mode.

In my case I have always been very focussed on reducing unnecessary energy consumption. I still have the 500Wh battery. As I am still a young guy I like the workout side too with the benefit I can extend my rides as long as possible. Therefore I use BLEvo smart power during all my rides and just increase the leg power threshold to the maximum achievable value for me at that moment during the ride.

On the other side, if you like to pedal more easy and get more assistance quicker than you would normally get then I would try to do the opposite and decrease the leg power threshold in BLEvo.

But just to experience the real shuttle mode setting, as it's intended, I will try it next time.

I noticed this when I imported the TCX into RideWithGPS and saw gaps (not zero values) in the graph of cadence and power when coasting downhill. So I opened the TCX file in Notepad and saw that entries for cadence and power at these points is actually missing. All other data, i.e. speed, location etc is present and o.k. I then examined the BLEvo generated CSV file and saw that zero values are present and correct.

Is this a standard requirement for TCX files to exclude zero values? Including zero values will make the plotted graph continuous without gaps.

Perfect analisys.. You are right, the cadence and biker power are not saved if they are zero.. I don't remember why I did this.. I think it is the same about the Heart Rate.. if it is zero, is not saved because it is not a right value.. But in case of cadence and biker power, 0 can be a value..

What year/type of bike do you have Levo/Kenevo ? Normally if a motor is replaced, its replaced with the same type of motor. So if you had a Levo or Kenevo with a 1.3 and they changed the motor, you should still have a 1.3.

Have you tried running mission control, reset to the defaults (there's a button to press) in "tune", re-start your phone and your bike. Run Blevo and see if you can change your speed limit.

Unless you had an early 2019 bike and never had the firmware updated, then when they changed the motor they updated the firmware.

It has some faults, among them not trustworthy power figure etc. Your replacement engine is a firmware updated 2019-2020 engine (the are the same) and as so is not "hackable" by Blevo or any other software solution to make it assist over 25km/h. That is Specialized making this, not Blevo.
To make it assist over 25km/h, you need a hardware solution. For example the Velociraptor mentioned here (a 99€ box you connect to the bike).

I found the issue of Strava upload in the Android version.
The issue is because BLEvo add automatically the description of the ride with some statistical data. If these data have some special character (like in German language), the upload fails.
The temporary workaround is to switch the language of the phone in english and upload the activity. It should work. Just for the Strava upload.
I will fix the issue as soon as possible.

How to attach a Quad Lock universal adaptor to BV6000(S)

As seen in Rob's image above, the back surface of BV6000(S) is not flat. Also the rubber backing is not compatible with the 3m adhesive used by Quad Lock.

So is it possible to safely remove the rubber backing material without destroying the phone? --Yes

Step 1
Using a craft knife, do a test cut into the rubber backing material in a position that will later be covered up by the Quad Lock uni mount. I cut along the edge of this raised surface. It may take several cuts along same line, in order to cut deep enough (~1mm) before you start to sense the hard case behind the rubber. View attachment 13921

Step 2
Split open the rubber backing material by pushing a blunt instrument (eg. a small flat screw driver) along the cut just made.

Step 3
Start lifting the rubber backing material by pushing the screw driver underneath.
Note: Down the spline of the phone the rubber will not want to lift up; don't worry, we'll deal with that later... Instead try lifting the rubber on either side.

But don't do this; don't lift rubber from anywhere that won't later be covered by Quad Lock uni mount.

Investigative work complete. Now that you know it can be done and that you are capable of doing it yourself.

Step 4
Position the uni mount where you want it to go. I initially marked the position with a pen but then I found a better method.

In below image of finished product, notice the straight edge on right side of mount. After making that straight edge, I then found it easy to hold uni mount in position (up against the cover of sim compartment), whilst I carefully cut around it with the craft knife.

To create the straight edge, I suggest using kitchen scissors.

Step 5
Whilst holding uni mount in position up against the cover of sim compartment, carefully cut around it. Don't try to do it in one deep cut. Go over same cut multiple times to get to the required depth.

Step 6
Using a small flat screwdriver push under rubber material to lift it up. Start by lifting up each side, leave the middle (spine of phone) to last. Along the spline you will need to cut the 6 injection molding points seen here. Trim flush after the rubber material has been removed.

This position of mount is about 8mm away from the phones center of gravity. -- I think that's about as close as we can get it.

Step 7
Finish up by removing any projections with craft knife.

Note: Cutting away the outer rim of sim compartment does will not affect the water proof seal. The rubber seal (seen above) lies flat and the compartment cover presses down against it.

Step 8
Test that uni mount fits perfectly within cutout region. If necessary, trim off more rubber around perimeter until it fits easily.

Step 9
Follow instructions for attaching Quad Lock uni mount.

My iPhone X camera stimulation is going south. among other problems and I need this phone for work, I don’t think I want to Mount a iPhone on the handlebars anymore.
So I would like to purchase a BV6000S.

I have two questions.

1. How is your quad lock holding up does it stay glued to your BV6000S ?

2. is there any difference in the performance of Blevo on a BV6000S versus a BV6000 as there seems to be a big difference in price?

BLEvo calculate the calories based on Biker Power, maybe Strava use another method.. Sorry but I don't know..

Big advantage is that the rubber housing of the BV6000(S) stays in tact and therefore waterproof.
