@vadII help!

I have ST Ride on iOS and it has been working fine for my normal bike. Since I did a ride with another (rental) bike I have been having crashes - if I start it and try and look at recorded it asks be if I want to resume a session and then crashes, but if I connect to a bike it works, and I can start a session but when I swipe to map view while in active dash view it crashes.

I have removed and reinstalled, and checked for updates. In Finder I can see Imports/Exports folder (empty) a sqlite3 DB and a temp gps file. Is there any trouble shooting steps I can take?
Sorry, understand nothing. Please make a video/screen recordings and send me via PM. Thanks

I am having this same problem. It seems to happen when trying to access anything that uses maps. When trying to view past rides, or when trying to look at maps while connected to the bike. Even when going to ‘Download online maps regions’ in app settings.
It seemed to start happening around the time I upgraded to IOS 18 but that might have nothing to do with it.
It exports map data to Strava and i can view the map there, but not in the STride app.
I cannot upload videos here either, but I could email them, or paste the logs from my iPhone if that would help.

Thank you!

Yes, Apple changed some basic functions in iOS 18 and they started to rise errors instead of returning error value...
New version posted to AppStore, waiting for the review

Thank you for working on so fast!
Quick review, maps are functions again! But when clicking Recorded Sessions it still crashes.

Thanks again for working on this!

I finally added the Scheme editor to the App (v1.20 for Android currently).

You can found it at "App's settings" -> "Display schemes" -> "Edit schemes".

It's possible to add a new empty scheme, add a new scheme as a copy of another scheme, edit any user's scheme and delete a scheme.

At the scheme editor, by clicking on an item you can change an item parameters, including item type (text, bar, chart). Long click - delete item from a scheme.

Main screen (schemes list):

@vadII 1.10.27 iOS seems to be working well now. This session was probably not helping (started crashing after this one, but before the westward flight from Italy)
I see that the session is corrupted in some way. But I don't understand what you mean. Sorry.

Hello vadll, first of all thanks a lot for the fantastic job you have done with this app. I wanted to ask you if there's a way to modify the layout on the apple watch. I don't have a great vision and I struggle reading the battery charge numbers on the watch when I'm riding my bike. The ability to make that number much bigger and limit the information displayed on the watch would be great. I also didn't find a way to edit the voice notifications on the watch. I disabled them on the iphone but would still be there on the watch. Cheers

The new Karoo 3 now has an sdk for developers and allows easy sideloading of Apps and Data Fields.
As Hammerhead is owned by SRAM the Karoo doesn't work with Shimano motors at all.
If you could bring your app to the Karoo that would be incredible. I'd definitely buy it!

Since today, my STUnlocker/STRide Apps for Android will be free.

This decision was brought about by Google's position, which stopped paying developers from Russia (yes, I have a Russian passport), which led to the fact that any paid app by a Russian developer cannot be installed. Google tech support did not offer any alternatives. Despite having a residence permit from another country I will not be able to pass Google's requirements for new developers. It's funny that there are no problems with Apple, despite their stricter policy.

I want to say thank you to all those who bought the app, and please don't be offended by the fact that it is now free.

Happy New Year to everyone!

Let's face it, at the price (few bucks) Vadll was selling his app, it was almost free. I hope it's only a temporary measure from Google and that the app comes back as a paid app.

No. It's not temporary. Moreover, Google does not allow to make a "Free" App "Paid". So even if Google theoretically returns the ability to pay Russian developers, I won't be able to make this app paid. I'll have to make a new app, but then those people who already paid for it will have to pay again. Google is just some kind of disgrace. Apple are just angels compared to Google.

Won't be a drama to pay again, your app was half the price of a regular coffee at Starbucks. Told you that before, your app is fantastic and, as a programmer myself, I can see the amount of time you spend writing and updating your app.

Hi, I bought st ride mainly to quickly check the battery status. That also works well. I like the app!

I would also like to use the app to record my rides.

But I still have two problems. Firstly, I can't see the heart rate either in the watch or in the recording after the ride. I can't see the heart rate on my iPhone either. I haven't found anything in the settings to add the heart rate. What do I have to do so that I can see or record the heart rate?

The app provides a lot of information, is there a way to reduce or adjust the number of fields on the iPhone or the Apple Watch?

HR is recording when you start session from watch (and gave all permissions to access your health data)

No
Hi Vadll, wow thanks for the quick reply!

Good point, I've only had the watch for a few days so I'm not that familiar with it yet.

Have granted all permissions. Checked it in the settings on the iPhone, and the watch. Everything is green, St ride can both read and write data in the health app.

Then connected to my bike in the St ride app on the iPhone. Unfortunately, I still can't see the heart rate. Neither on the watch, nor on the iPhone.

Hmm. Can't get the same on my Watch and iPhone. HR is displayed
It works when I use the training app on the watch.

On my last ride, I used the polar beat app with the HR10 chest strap, which also worked with the display and recording.

Do you have any idea what the problem could be? What else could I do or try?

Look, there are 2 options for iPhone owners: you can use HR from Watch (Connection to a bike should be started from STRide on Watch) or HR from a Bluetooth sensor (Watch are not used, HR sensor must be selected after pressing the "Connect" button)

Thanks a lot!

the first option: "Hr from the watch" works! I started the Connection on my iPhone before. That's why it didn't work ;)

the second option "HR form a Bluetooth sensor" still don't work.
I have done the following steps:
- connencted on my iPhone in the app st ride with my bike
- connected with the HR Sensor on my iPhone.

Then turned of the watch completely, and repeated the steps above. Still can't see the HR, on my phone in the st ride app.

Maybe I misunderstood something. When I press the "Connect" button in the st ride app, I don't see any select option in the app, so I went to settings on my phone an connected there with the HR sensor.

Don't pair Bluetooth sensor with any App on your iphone.
Start the STRide on your phone, press "connect" and wait until HR sensor will be shown in the device list. Click on it. After that turn ON your bike and the App will connect your bike and HR sensor

Now it works ;)

Thank you for your patience!
