Last ride out for a while as i will be rebuilding my wheels and fitting new brakes ! probably take me a while as it will be my maiden wheel build and brake swap. Hopefully wont take too long lol.
So decided i would really try and get to a location ive attempted a few times but failed to reach the peak needed to continue.

Today i set out in the mindset to push ( literally lol ) myself up the climb to reach the B29 crash site and what a hike'a'bike it was.
Very energy sapping but the view rewards were worth it along with some short but fun rideable sections.

Route was from Mossylea up past the farm and instead of going right to Doctors Gate.... go left and keep going lol up up up and more up As usual the reverse of my ride today would be far easier but would have meant a very boring long ride up the snake pass and doing it the way i did meant i had the fun of coming down the snake pass at the end ( Even though it absolutely pissed it down with rain just i hit the road ).

Cracking day out all in all.

Mountain biking on hold for a while.😭😭Full knee replacement, not biking injury.

View attachment 87890
Biking is the perfect exercise for knee replacements. My mate had a new knee and the day after the op, while still in bed they strapped his leg into a device that looked like one half of a recumbent bike. This one was powered and it articulated his knee. They could set the stroke and hence the angle his knee was bent through. He said it was a torture device! But once he was out of hospital, he borrowed a bike and went out on it. My job was to follow him and put him back on the bike when he fell off! :ROFLMAO:

Is that a Hawk in the background?

I’m I hadn’t noticed that @Stihlodg, I think it’s a Swallow, the Swallow’s are starting to return from their winter migration in Africa to nest in the Uk. It’s a real sign that’s summer is on its way.
It’s amazing to know that these small birds do that sort of mileage twice in a year, and return to their same nest site year after year.
