Even on the wet, with a new bike and tyres smaller and overinflated they flow oh so well

Yeah ..the blue trails are designed as " flow" trails and are good fun to ride ..the reds & black sections not so smooth ..

Jeez my legs are throbbing today. Five days of mountain biking twice a day has taken its toll.

It’s not just my legs, shoulders, arms, neck, torso, all ache to buggery. Now back to work, for two days before doing it all over again

Pal of mine is a gardener in his forties, grafts all day & still rides well over 100 miles a week on a Spesh Epic. Gets up at 6am to knock in a 20 before work most days, we're all built differently. I'm tired just typing this out!

I have done it a couple of times on the Whyte ..its a hoot !

Today I tried a few red ones and some unmarked ones on the way back, that drop straight to Peebles those looked more challenging to ride, the kind I’d raher ride with a FF helmet and pads.
What an amazing place to ride.

The high country in our neck of the woods (southern Alberta portion of the Rocky Mountains backed up to the province of British Columbia on the west boundary) is taking its sweet time to usher in some spring trails and had us retreating with 3 or 4 inches of ice under the snow -with a change of plans we still found a great morning of riding on south facing slopes that were dry and managed to close in on a large herd of elk at the basin of one ridge
