Could be weeks before I'm riding again, I'm relying on you to keep my pecker up.
It's Pic of the Day ! People post all sorts of mad crap .... Showers, animals, art ...

Pictures of your charger, poised, ready, lethal - ready to get back to business ....

Maybe you've created something with superglue and the toe nails you've torn off with your teeth in moments of boredom .. like a mini Eiffel Tower ?

I'll get you started .. Old water tank to bbq/firepit in a day ..

Get a knackered water tank.
1682079937543.png

Carefully and slowly cut it ..... ;-)
1682079827266.png

I wanted it to be two directional but also catch the smoke as it's under cover.
1682079905074.png

Shape the off cuts to make a fire bed and deflector plate.
1682079843389.png

Find a chimney port from an old fire.

Sand it .. LOTS .. Paint it. light it. drink. abuse forum members.

3800ft of climbing is a fair amount in only an hour and a quarter. Were you going right to the top, then all the way down, and back again ?

@Ark Don't take things to heart. You could easily take his comments a different way and respond accordingly.
when people post double or triple full stops usually it's a sign or sarcasm, but yea I should have game them the
benefit of doubt.
Maybe it's just that persons posting style though since their last post has it also.
The main point I was making was to broaden your knowledge of why there were so many obstacles on the Derwent Walk ..which you seemed to think had been put there just to spoil your ride 😉..
technically it is a dedicated cycle route though, okay It's shared with civilians and you should slow down when passing walkers as I always do anyway.
but it's still a National Cycle route Route 14 so it's still pretty annoying, on my old bike with drop bars I could just fly through them, but on some at least the horse side is touching the ground and you can just hop over without needing to come to a full stop..

I only posted the mileage and elevation because I was surprised how many miles I was able to do on MTB with offroad tyres.
Looking at the Bosch Ebike Range calculator and considering how much battery I still had left I was 5-10 miles above their estimate if I would have kept going.
The last time I rode on it we saw a family of otters in the " lake " at Derwenthaugh which I found amazing being so close to a large urban area ( Gateshead ) ....and Red Kites are a common site
I didn't see either, although I did see a pheasant at one point, I think it was at Tanfield Railyway Path leading up to Sunniside.
First time I've actually came across one.
and sorry if I took your post the wrong way, I was reading it with my morning coffee.

That looks almost exactly like the one Elon Musk built, except yours looks like it fired up properly, and it has probably already lasted longer than his!

I think we should start a new EMtb trend, crocs and an OODIE(an oversized hoodie made of blanket material)

Not a serious pic at all, I was just bored and ran into a friend when I went out to play around

Crocs are a useful bit of my " getting changed out of wet gear at the car " kit after a sloppy muddy wet ride ..
That mini wigwam thing you are wearing would have a functional use if it stretched down to the ground in terms of me not bearing my arse while changing..otherwise as a fashion item ..no thanks !😂

Finally got some real elevation numbers. Got 3041' in 15 miles and used up 71% of my battery. On my local trails, I usually need 20 miles to get 1000' of gain.

I went camping in the VA Appalachian mountains
Imagepipe_39.jpg

The trails were tough and rocky.
Imagepipe_43.jpg

steep and techy, with quite a bit of hike a bike.
Imagepipe_41.jpg

This switchback had a 15' plunge to catch the unaware biker.
Imagepipe_42.jpg

I was trying to beat the rain, and failed. Got caught in a thunderstorm on the ridge. Temp dropped 20 degrees and the rain came down. Hard. Wool socks and merino base layer tee really saved me.
Imagepipe_40.jpg

That ride was an ass kicker.
