Orbea Rise Drive Side Crank Arm Rubber Boot

Purchased the fc-em600 cranks for my Orbea Rise, but the drive side has a 1.5 inch diameter rubber boot that fits around the drive side spindle. The boot fits onto the e-thirteen crank (the crank has grooves cut into it that the rubber boot fits into and when the crank arm is removed, the rubber boot comes off with it). That rubber boot will not fit the fc-em600 crank.

Does anyone have any suggestions. Thanks

There are a few crank threads regarding this bike and the e13 cranks where this is discussed. I can't fault you for not finding the needle in the haystack as the search function is meh... I digress, toss the boot. Not needed with the shimano setup, nor really needed in general.

I just installed 5DEV cranks this morning and wondered the same. I just went with out the rubber boot as mentioned.

I have just done the exact same on my Rise, the rubber boot is for the ethirteen pedals only. I managed to find a Shimano manual which shows there is a disc cover(Below), but there is no part number listed for it...anyways I spoke to a few bike shops who all said it's not really needed, the ethirteen cover wasn't water tight anyway.
