I have the Garmin app on my watch so can see battery % etc. and also sync to Strava but want to see the actual totals for the motor, not just tracking. I think that on the Shimano EP8 with the little screen, you can see this. I think maybe only way may be to ask dealer to plug in.The e-max mobile app which I think costs £1.99 will give you battery levels as a % plus overall distance covered by the Rise.

The characteristics of boost in profile 1 and profile 2 are different from stock . The stock setting for boost in profile 1 doesn't give you the full 60nm , stock setting in profile 2 does if I remember correctly .
Boost I've basically maxed all 3 settings in profile 2 , if I need boost I want all its got lol .
FYI, these screen shots are showing ECO mode and not Boost, I think. It looks like ECO is highlighted in white.Wow I didn't even think about that! Looking at the screenshots in the Blue Paper, you're right, Boost in Profile 1 has less assist and torque. Even in Profile 2 it looks like does not have max assist.

My bike's at the shop awaiting Ride Wrap so I can't play with it yet Do you know if it comes with Profile 1 or Profile 2 activated by default? Puttering around my driveway in Boost felt good already, if the bike has even more power I will be impressed!
Agree 110%. I don't see a reason to run reduced power if my rides are short enough to allow it (which they usually are). For me it has nothing to do with fitness, I can push just as hard in Turbo on my Levo as I can with the bike completely off, but I can cover triple the distance and have way more fun.
If you look closely here is a teal dot for Trail and a yellow dot for Boost.FYI, these screen shots are showing ECO mode and not Boost.
No, they aren't. The app shows all 3 on the same screen. Pay attention to the little teal and yellow dots. The settings you showed are for the eco setting in both profiles.
What is eMax and where can I find it please? Is it on the e-tube app?The emax gives total for the motor
Yes I binned mine. My caps were not lock tighted either. When you guys do the thread lock to the crank Adam it says one the ethirteen link that the inner seal has to be removed and discarded ??
did you guys leave this out or refit it ? View attachment 56851

EDIT: Which is a cool feature if you're someone like me who can't remember numbers for more than 5 seconds, you can compare all 3 while making changes
I think folks are referring to eMax Tuning – The most advanced tuning tool for STEPS8000 which seems to be similar to ST Unlocker (ST Unlocker)What is eMax and where can I find it please? Is it on the e-tube app?
Just do a search in App Store under ‘E-max tuning’ and it will come upWhat is eMax and where can I find it please? Is it on the e-tube app?

One way to lose your warranty
Even connecting to st Unlocker the ep8 motor logs all the data your warranty is void now.I'm not going to try upping the power, Rise has plenty for me at 60Nm

I know 2 people have just connected to the app both lost there warranty

It’s Shimano you need to speak to not orbeaJust connecting and reading information Will Not void your warranty. Only changing params will do. I have talked to orbea directly
Not really, they sold the bike to me and they will do any repair I need, this is a custom motor by Orbea, they have the stock and they will replace it whenever I need to. That is what they said. It’s Shimano you need to speak to not orbea
I hope your correct
I know with Specialized if a motor goes wrong first contact is to report to Specialized which then claim a motor from Brose , specialIzed will then check to see if software had been used that could mean brose reject the warranty claim
I am pretty sure If something went wrong with your bike orbea will log a warranty claim to shimano and they will then Obviously void the warranty
I can’t imagine orbea would tell shimano that’s they Suggested or authorised that you could use third party software
