Just done a ride at another park. Mix of gravity jumps, downhill flow, tight switchback rocky climbs. Everything really.
Bike ate it all up no problems.
I will go as far and say a downhill bike with a motor is the perfect bike!

It’s only a matter of time until everyone else realises that.

Agreed. So far it’s done everything as good or better than any other bike I’ve owned / ridden.
Still fine tuning, but seems to get better with every ride.
Looking forward to getting it back after the weekend with the new parts fitted :)

I’m glad it’s not just me, every time I ride that’s exactly the feeling. It just keeps getting better.
It’s almost wrong to feel this happy about something.

Lol, I know!
I’m quite happy just hopping on and riding on my own - i’d usually need others to go with to feel motivated enough, but I just want to ride it as often as I can......
And because it’s nowhere near the price of an Sworks there’s plenty of room to upgrade parts the way I want to and still be a much cheaper ride.

Well, my 2018 Kenevo is back again at my LBS due to yet more power issues. I believe they will send back to Specialized and looking for a replacement

So decision time. 2020 Levo Comp/Expert or Kenevo Comp/Expert

More trail riding these days, but downhills 'on occasion'. so i think either of the comp's or the Levo Expert would be best suited, but i did want to move away from the 500 battery as that has been the source of many of my problems.

Reading this thread above, it mentions that the Kenevo Comp has the 700 battery (stock?). Was that optional? I've been to my LBS this morning and the Kenevo Comp has the 500 and the Expert the 700.

Both Levo's have the 700 battery

5' 7" and never ridden a 29-er, been on 27.5 for a few years now

So hopefully choose in the next week or so

I think the 700 on the comp is an option. A couple of people seem to have it, no idea if it's a priced option or at the discretion of the bike shop and a "deal" to be discussed. Would be interesting to know exactly how it works.

My experience is that the shop's won't do it as a priced option. Apparently, Specialized don't allow the comp upgrade to the 700 as would harm expert sales.

Advice given to me was that they would sell me a 700 at cost price (when buying the comp) and then I could sell the 504 privately. Upgrade would then cost around the £300-400 mark.

"The E-bike Store" in Portland.
I found a shop in Eugene that had an S4 on pre-order. I put a down payment on it. They are saying late November/ Early Dec. Now the hard part it having to wait, lol. I am still recovering from a broken collar bone so can't really ride hard yet anyways.

And FYI for anyone else is the US that is looking for a Kenevo Expert the Specialized rep said that demand was overwhelming and they are pretty much all sold out but there are still Comps available.

I know it’s probably too early to tell but are there any signs that Specialized have beefed up the motor internals on the 2020 bikes to combat some of the reliability issues?

Got the old girl back today, yet to ride her again with some of the new parts (hopefully tomorrow).
With the flip chip flipped and these very thin HT Components pedals the pedal strike has almost completely disappeared!
With the AXS levers / dropper / derailleur fitted she’s a very tidy cockpit now with only 3 cables.
Can’t wait to go for another ride.....here’s a few pix of the upgrade parts :)

I have ordered a comp from my lbs, however, expected delivery date is December. Apparently specialized have them in stock but there is an issue with the rear shock that needs to be sorted before they will release the stock they have... Anyone heard of issues with the comps shock?
