What an awesome bike! Very powerful! Very fast! Handerling is superb!
15.5miles 1hour 20mins power setting 5/3 and pretty much flat out everywhere 🥳
20% left over and it just went into lower power mode on the last few meters back to the car.
13s3p Samsung 21700 pack.

One thing that caught me out a few times is you approach everything a lot faster and trying to get it stopped has taken it toll on the rear brake disc so definitely needs 200mm discs on the rear!

but well happy with it 😎

Wow. Brakes have been hot.

I used to tarmac rally a Subaru, and even after fitting upgraded racing 6 piston calipers with 330mm rotors, I was still boiling fluid and cooking the pads. I went up to 355mm rotors, spaced out the same callipers, same pads, and never had another problem with the breaks again. The larger rotors have much more thermal mass, and handled the heat.

Hello, Dave, very detailed and wonderful DIY tutorial.

Can I quote your installation tutorial?

Many individual buyers who buy LCES004 carbon frame set often ask questions about DIY batteries. I want to show them this tutorial first, and most of the problems will be solved,
Regards!

First time at Swinley Forest today! I’ve just about recovered 😆.

Magic Mary up front was definitely not the tyre for a hard packed loose trail.

Still. Mega fun on an Ebike

On route this morning and got some awful news! Thought about going home but carried on to Swinley.
I was Angry and upset so rode as hard and aggressive as I could, didn’t enjoy it but needed to vent!

RIP Mike 😢

Bike was incredible today 😎.
Hammered it round Bedgebury Forest!

Just given it a clean and found a broken pedal and lost a crank arm cap 🤦🏻‍♂️

Anyone have any recommendations where I can find those crank arm caps in the Uk or will any other manufacturers ones fit the Bafang thread?

Oooh yeah 😎
Had to put a down tube sticker on her as sooooo many people keep asking what it is 😆.
Had a very muddy, drizzley ride round Covert last night bike was spot on but tried flat pedals 😖 not ridden flats for decades it didn’t feel nice 😆.
Ordered a set of Nukeproof Horizon Dh pedals, hopefully be here tomorrow 🙏

300 miles in.

A few things are becoming apparent!
Fox 34 isn’t man enough on the really rough stuff.
And the none boost wheels with boost adapters are quite flexible.
which makes the front feel soft and sketchy when hitting big stuff or fast rooty stuff.
but on day to day trail riding it’s great 😊

built a 19Ah 988 Watt battery for some long range riding, it’s an extra 13 cells so doesn’t add a lot of weight. Hopefully get 40miles in power mode 1

increased the speed limit to 37mph 🙂

fitted the 150mm Miranda crank arms which feel great when riding, but boring as hell to look at 😖

all in all really happy still! Wish I had the money to put a Fox 38 and Dt Swiss wheels! Must get saving😌

I think big forks work well on ebikes. With the motor assistance. Things like extra weight, and big un-efficient peddling platforms take less of a concern compared to on regular MTBs.

You can slap them on and enjoy the benefits without worries for the negatives.

Its amazing that the extra stiffness is felt more than the weight. And I’ve bought the stem up a bit (because this has a longer steerer) which has made the front actually feel lighter.

roll on tomorrow!! To the WOODS! 🥳🥳
