That said, I think the side-loading design is neat. By allowing both the large and extender batteries to live inside the downtube, I believe the need to have an external cable is eliminated.
That would be cool, but is it verified? I guess the extender would slot in where the swat box is.

That is a one dimensional comparison of power (1 bench mark), you are looking at power to weight ratio of motor. So if max power is your only concern then DJI motor already wins in a drag race up a flat fire road. I still refer back to the video above with the power curves and the authors final comments. My concerns are shared, how power relates to the reliability of the bike (motor/drivetrain). How many people ride their MTBs (not eMTBs) at a continuous 600+ watts, let alone 1000 for 5/10/30 min clips? I do believe that with 1000watts of power we are hitting the upper limits for what I would call NORMAL MTBing... sure shuttling up a fire road at 20+mph to DH gets you more riding :) ... but who needs a 1000watts going down? Back to my point, what does 800-1000 watts up a fire road do to my chain? do I replace it once a month? I see so many people on here complaining about reliability issues with EMTBs, and to me as an engineer i find it troubling. What did you think would happen as they push the limits, you would get more reliable bikes?

My hope is the new Levo is a balance of power and ride performance and added reliability (time will tell) ... Regardless what's great about this moment in time for the MTB community is the amazing selection of bikes that exists... basically a bike for everyone... so buy your favorite one and ride!
The current power limits are definitely not feeling like cycling anymore on any motor that boosts this much.

The bikes aren't made in the US, so what does that mean for the tariffs?

So far nothing seems to be revolutionary about this bike. Bigger battery who would have thought? Will make the handling worse. Especially when its side loaded. Center of gravity and frame weight will most likely be higher than gen3.

45kmh is irrelevant for a mountainbike not to mention in Europe you'll have to get a license plate, mirrors and insurance if you want to ride that on public ground.

Also that speed just will get all bikes banned from recreational areas.

Apple find my is inferior to the Amflow gps based system as it notifies thieves on their phones that the bike has a built in tracking device.

It is a (battery) bike for those who weigh more than 90 kg, with all the equipment and who need to remove the battery to charge it. For those who weigh less than 70 kg, there are several good options with a 600 Wh battery.
Those who weigh between 70 kg and 90 kg should choose according to their physical shape and the type of rides they usually do.
