I have a suspicion that neither Sram or Shimano have any interest in MGU's as it drives a train straight through their business model.I don't think SRAM are going to let the industry move towards mass adoption of MGUs until they make there money's worth on the transmission stuff or else have an MGU of their own to offer.
Good point, the AMflow rides very much like the SL but with a much more quieter and powerful motor.Nothing to do with the Gen4 .. but as I had the Amflow image up I was curious how it compared with the Levo SL2 (bikes are probably different sizes, but scaled off the front wheels).

They’ll find a way to charge some exorbitant amount for it and justify it with a TCO. “Our MGU may cost 3x that of a traditional drivetrain, but it’ll last 4x the miles!” It’ll get to the point they’ll be bragging about longevity long past the number of miles anyone even puts on a bike before getting a new one, but people will still go for it. By that time a new bike will be in the $25k range, should only be another 3-4 years the way things are goingI have a suspicion that neither Sram or Shimano have any interest in MGU's as it drives a train straight through their business model.
Why would they make an impervious, reliable for 10k km's box of tricks that doesn't wear out?
there is a tiny trick involved, its called buy a fucking motorbike, ride it on a mx track and stay off the trails so we can enjoy themWhat I miss is not more power but getting rid of the stupid 25 km/h EU limit.
I think you’re going to fucking extremes here….. There is a huge middle ground where having an ebike that doesn’t cut out when you’re going 15mph is acceptablethere is a tiny trick involved, its called buy a fucking motorbike, ride it on a mx track and stay off the trails so we can enjoy them
its those ppl who think they are above the rules who jeopardize trail access for the rest of us.I think you’re going to fucking extremes here….. There is a huge middle ground where having an ebike that doesn’t cut out when you’re going 15mph is acceptable
Not an issue where I live, so there are people monitoring speeds on your local trails?its those ppl who think they are above the rules who jeopardize trail access for the rest of us.

With or without a wireless remote? So in theory ..... they could do this now ??
Seldom few of the guys I ride with are restricted anymore. But this one chap refuses to derestrict his bike…..What I miss is not more power but getting rid of the stupid 25 km/h EU limit.
Rules…….are for fools!its those ppl who think they are above the rules who jeopardize trail access for the rest of us.
Asked a guy from Spesh why no wireless controller on Handle bars and answer was simple and direct “reliability “With or without a wireless remote?![]()
thats a shame that spesh cant make reliable wireless stuffAsked a guy from Spesh why no wireless controller on Handle bars and answer was simple and direct “reliability “
Yes and yes (still do). I’m loving the AMF because now I can clear large tabletops I couldn’t before under leg power only.Curious thought, for people that want a higher limit, did they rode an analog bike on downhill trails?
With those wheels I bet the sales is really boomingOK, not gen4 related - unless you're on the fence ..
But we still have a week to go and people obviously need something to argue about

While they are fine with using wireless stuff from SRAM. Obviously makes no sense, just a poor excuse.thats a shame that spesh cant make reliable wireless stuff

A better trix is to try to realize you don't know what the fuck you are talking about and how/where other ride.there is a tiny trick involved, its called buy a fucking motorbike, ride it on a mx track and stay off the trails so we can enjoy them
Is the failure rate for a wireless controller higher or lower than a Specialized motor ?Asked a guy from Spesh why no wireless controller on Handle bars and answer was simple and direct “reliability “
