Since this is only a rumors thread and no realities allowed like the OP stated, let's just say rumor is you'll see the new Levo in the wild come December 2024. Oh and add to that, idk if you've noticed but Big Spec has been getting better with their color choices ;)
Well played!

I hope the rumor posted back Sept stating that there will short and long travel versions is accurate. Have been eyeing up a full fat Kenevo recently but if there's a new LT Levo coming in the near future I would be tempted to hang on for that.

My lbs guy is telling me the new Levo is tied to the release of the Brose motor….. that thing sounds pretty dam cool….. no belt, nm over 100 and better water seals…… it will also be UL approved…..so far my guy has been on the nose…… we will see

Yeah, I wonder for how long.

FYI, the Ekano 2 CF which use it, is in discount since end of summer with a free range extender and just got yesterday 20% off.

Either they want to drain their stock or they already have something in the bag, hoping this is not new colors :D

But everything is different on the new brose so nothing backward compatible from what I read.

Specialized would never release anything that's backwards compatible.... goes against their business practices.

Let's see what comes .... will have to be somthing really great to compete with what's on the market at the moment.

The new Brose peak3 motor was launched by Brose (not on bikes yet but on the website - Product) and it's 95nm, 48v, No belt and 2.9 kg.
There other rumors that say the new Levo will not use a Brose motor and will use a new 110nm Mahle motor.
Whatever the truth is, the most impressive thing about the new Levo is how Specialized are able to keep it's details a secret :)

Just food for thought, I 🤔 none of the new Brose Peak³ motor posts here were deleted, but all in to much connection with other possible motors were...

The Levo is their golden egg, they need a Banger with the new release.

IMO I am not sure the new Brose fits the description of a banger. As they got a slightly bad rep with the last Brose, I doubt they will stick to it.

On the other side(SL) they have another companys motor that's got trough two iterations with updates in torque and functionality without any major issues, and has also been working on the 48V system(IMO the future) since the beginning.

I am really looking forward to the release, maybe we all are surprised 😃✌️

True that the KSL motor everyone is pretty satisfied.

Comparing Bosch last gen and what we know about the upcoming Brose is like meh for Brose so I doubt either we know everything or Specialized would go with them.

The major point being the new Brose was designed one year ago and totally postpone due to lack of reliability on current gen. So it is possible that this is just going ... nowhere.

SRAM is the only actor that might stick to brose if it cost them too much money to switch but ... I am not really sure either they count a lot on their powertrain, let's be honest very very few bike out there use it and being Brose behind maybe several brand skip it to avoid having too much service support request.

Lots of possibility, I bet early 2025 will disclose some stuff.

So 10 nm more than Bosch, the Brose haters will upset.

The thing is amflow are now shipping bikes to those people in the market for a new trail bike, well the ones who aren't on the fence still at least. I doubt they will rush out and buy a levo in January having already got an amflow?

I'm not expecting the new Levo to have better specs than the DJI. I would love to be wrong + you never know.

I'm waiting for an Enduro bike with the DJI motor\battery\screen + a removable battery.

most important would be to have the best handling, interchangeable battery low, close to the motor (not like a lot of Bosch bikes where the battery is ~10cm more forward and higher 😧👎 ), so like existing Levo and would be nice if a motor is more reliable ;)
and it should have 160-170mm travel. (like Levo+cascade long link)

My Levo with the cascade long link and a 170 fork has been one of the funnest bikes I’ve owned. I really hope Spesh goes the longer travel route but we’ll have to wait and see….however long that is. It would make sense as they’ve discontinued the full fat Kenevo, they need a longish travel bike in the lineup.

Somebody mentioned a while back that a dealer mentioned there may be ST and LT version of the new Levo. Same front triangle with different rears. I'm guessing a 150mm and a 170mm-180mm version if that's the case. Hopefully that's accurate.

A Turbo levo with DJI motor !! 😂
I doubt that will ever happen, and especially not in the near future. DJI already has an issue(banned) with the US government and NSA because of drone technology, and the avinox system being one that if offering all kinds(wifi, bt, sim card, etc...) connectivity, I doubt the US will bless that, and especially not if Donald wins the elections.
Also food for thought, the Spesh guys in an interview with Steve from embn(when steve mentioned the dji) said that it's impressive but not what they wanted in their new bike. They didn't focus on crazy spec numbers but on better bike feel on trail and for the motor on better usability/power over the whole cadence range, short on the cadence torque curve of the motor. IMO that's way more important than any crazy specs number.
Also I think that while it's nice to have, it's just to much information for processing and it's unconsciously distracting man from the real joy, when at the end you just want to ride a bike there is a big display, two remotes, apps, gps modules, sim card modules, etc...I don't know...

I like it just plain simple, one remote(on/off, assistance levels, walk mode), one behind bar(more ergonomic to look at during ride)small display with max of up to 4 pieces of information(battery in %, Assistance level color coded, and two by choice).

Good summary and I personally agree with you - and personally I don't need all that torque. BUT I still think, since this is a rumors thread, if Spec did integrate such a powerful/hyped motor, they would sell like hot cakes which is what ultimately they care about (and there's no reason to think it wouldn't handle well). That being said - no, they're not integrating DJI obviously anytime soon, and while I do *strongly* believe the Levo is coming in a month or two I don't have the full details of the system yet.

Let's remember that Spec had a pretty nasty experience with the Brose reliability motors for several years ... I do not see them jumping on the new kid without safety.

If that amflow bike said specialized on the side of it you would probably be looking at 9k-13k let’s just hope they don’t F this new bike up

It’s probably nothing but in this video talking about the SRAM Powertrain at about 2 mins 50 it’s say that specialized and brose have parted. Gives credence to having a new motor not built by brose or cud be a load of tripe

It's crazy how people who seem to me to be sponsored by Specialized can say bad things about the brand new DJI Avinox.. 🤷‍♂️ 🍻
1) anyone buying a dji bike is being a beta tester. Zero info on how reliable the drive unit is.
2) the dji bike is a trail bike. What’s the point in a trail e bike? My meat powered bike is a trail bike. My e bike is a Kenevo or in other words a bike that is so big, you don’t want to peddle it without assistance. If someone gave me a dji bike, I would sell it and get a bigger bike, something with 170-200mm travel. It doesn’t have to be a specialized, I bought the Kenevo because it was a big travel e bike for $9000 dollars but on sale for $5700 bucks.
