If you have a “bottom “ loaded battery, you need that huge motor bottom bracket area. Look at the bb area on the new ibis oso.Hello from Spain, we are expecting an official launch event for stores on March 24/25 approx.

Thank you for the information. That makes perfect sense, as the season in Europe—an important market—begins in early April. To maximize revenue from their E-MTB line, Specialized should launch the new Levo Gen 4 by the end of March, avoiding further losses.Hello from Spain, we are expecting an official launch event for stores on March 24/25 approx.

Definitely a win really like the swat storage on my Epic 8 Evo and if they can make it happen in a eye candy way , well that would be awesomeI think the Side loading can work if done well..... especially if they make a spacer to insert above a smaller 600 or 400 battery where you can store things like tubes and tools. especially if the smaller batteries aren't as long . Side loading will also allow them to create a storage section
Trek removes side loading because it was heavy and looked like crap..... Specialized says, wait till you see how bad ours looks!I think the Side loading can work if done well..... especially if they make a spacer to insert above a smaller 600 or 400 battery where you can store things like tubes and tools. especially if the smaller batteries aren't as long . Brose did show a prototype MGU in 2023 so could see future specialized bikes having it.Just asking if anyone knows if Specialized might be working on a gearbox motor setup , now that would be Fricken awesome , not ground breaking cause there are a few guys doing already but two get a Specialized Brose gearbox integrated system
Shock the Industry? Big yes on this scoop.Brose did show a prototype MGU in 2023 so could see future specialized bikes having it.

Caution: High voltage! – Brose present the eagerly awaited Drive³ Peak motor in the 48V system and a concept motor with an integrated stepless drivetrain
The new Brose Drive System, featuring the new Drive³ Peak motor and Concept Drive motor, now operates at a voltage of 48V. What does this mean for you?ebike-mtb.com
There will be no mass adoption of MGU until SRAM has something to offer in that field. There’s no way they give up their current drivetrain monopoly without a fight.Brose did show a prototype MGU in 2023 so could see future specialized bikes having it.

If Brose, Shimano, Bosch or even DJI make on MGU, SRAM may have no choice but to make one or lose their monopoly. There will be no mass adoption of MGU until SRAM has something to offer in that field. There’s no way they give up their current drivetrain monopoly without a fight.

3 motors across 2 bikes in 2 years? I mean that’s a pretty good number for Brose. Its reliability has to be improved , between myself and another Levo owner in town we have had 3 replacement motors in 2 yearsridiculous

Yes I had 4 in 2 years….you definitely don’t want a Fazua bike then
I have a Gen 3 with over 7k miles and 150 cycles with no motor battery issues. I read this site daily about failures and I've come to the conclusion it must be folks who tend to use turbo 100% of the time in higher gear ranges. I do tend to be a higher cadence rider. I'm taking mine to the dealer for the first time just before the 2yr mark next week, just to get a visit on record before the 2-year mark.Interesting, between me and my local group there are 6 Levo owners with whom I rode at some point in time, 5 of them have never experienced motor problems. One guy even rode gen1 Levo.
The guy whose motor died said that he actually abused it a bit, he wasnt shifting correctly, rode in turbo within limited gear range.
I dont want to say that every faulty motor is a result of bad shifting habits, but I cant stop thinking why in my region Levo seems like pretty reliable bike and at the same time people in internet screams about faulty motors at incredible scale.
My mechanic make motor rebuild for 100$ and reanimate some old Brose motors, he says its easily repairable and almost all parts can be purchased and replaced, despite planetary mechanism I guess . Most cases are simply water corrosion or broken planetary mechanism which is more rare in his experience.
