Last night I was advised by my LBS that the S3 S-works that I originally ordered in May last year was incorrectly delivered as a S4, that after numerous delayed promised dates . Next promise date, maybe March.

No shit Sherlock .. I've asked for my money back.

I love my Gen 2 -- nearly 9000 kms on HER, but I wont be buying another Specialized ... UNBELIEVABLY BAD SERVICE. Precisely the reason that I have always accepted the premium that you have to pay to buy Specialized.

Well at least my LBS lived up to its reputation. No quibble return of my €1500 deposit, such a shame as they know I will go elsewhere now for my next bike. LBS' everywhere must really be struggling with behaviour like this.:(

My LBS has just dropped Specialized because of the hoops they were having to jump through. They were already over-priced to their other competition in that LBS who sell Cube, Giant, Merida, etc.

Well, here it is March 13 and you would have had your gen 3 this month. Mine was built on March 1 by my LBS. It is a beaut!

Honestly i find it just as mind blowing someone can order a bike with an optimistic 8 month waiting time, I'm not having a dig hear I just don't have the patience with this on a push bike.

COVID-19 Pandemic, go figure eh?
? Makes no difference to my mind, I get it, stuff is not available but I just find it odd that people have this kind of patience, fair play, nothing wrong with that . Not for me though, I guess I have no real loyalty to bikes, there all much of a muchness when we get to a certain price bracket. Lets face it after 15.5 mph your on your own .

My dealer has been flat out lied to regarding the delivery of my Levo. First November last year. Then January. Then March. Today they were told July. Meanwile some dealers are getting bikes that have no deposit. My dealer is certain that Specialized are preferencing stock to certain larger dealers over small shops like his even if he orders a bike earlier than them. He's offered me a deposit refund several times. He feels awful for me and I do for him.

One date snafu is fine. Pandemic and all that. 4 push backs is bullshit. Specialised is supposed to have great service but what I'm seeing is exactly the opposite.

Purely by co-incedence I found a second hand expert carbon in my size in a private sale so I jumped on it. I wanted a pro or sworks but with the price saving I can swap out the components I want. But I feel sorry for my dealer. He's a good guy with great service and time for his customers.

I put a deposit down at my LBS in November 2021. 3 weeks ago they told me to order my Levo off the Specialized website then have it shipped to them. MY LBS said direct to consumer is causing delays. As of today I have my new Levo.
