This bike was posted in the Frey Dopamine thread by @Cit and is a similar design but with some substantial differences? Link to the Pinkbike article about it that has more info than their website: Hybridizer Announces Its First Bike eMTB Frame, SANN - Pinkbike
It is an idler design which is the same but if you compare the two frames they are different. Most notably the battery (720wh) is a bottom loader and that filled in area at the seattube junction is a SWAG box. Not sure if the rear dropouts are UHD but as they are modular certainly wouldn't be hard to do so.
The SANN company seems to consist of a couple of young engineers and they are bringing this forth as their first effort. Gives me a bit of hope that they will be a little more willing to work with customers that already have their own bits? The frame/electronics market such as DengFu caters to is popular and as time goes on I see it getting more so perhaps? There are so many component options these days, including the ones in your shed, that it just makes sense for someone to add to that market.
Taking my case as a for instance because I have decided I can't live without the SRAM T-Type and have specific wheelset in mind and both not available from the "manufacturer" bikes getting a frame/electronics package makes the most sense so as to not have to pass on parts I don't want via the different market places which is a royal PITA. Suspension bits are easily sourced as well as all the other components. I guess years of building custom bikes has spoiled me for the process.
The one thing that still concerns me is the chain wrap on the chain ring. I like the way that Rocky Mtn. deals with it:
It looks like it is just a bash guard that mounts to the bb with a roller on the back and something like it would be easy to retro to the above? Nice to have a bash guard as well.
SANN is showcasing a 720wh Carbon Fiber "battery" which I imagine is referring to the case. Unclear yet as to what cell they are using? I passed on what was available to my battery contact at DT battery and it wasn't familiar with him and he is going to check into it.
