This is crazy!!!😮
20240816_110953.jpg

Seriously, why haven't other brands opted to use a carbon shell for batteries.
20240816_111114.jpg

1 kg more between a shimano 36v 630wh battery compared to the 48v 864wh for the Hybridizer Sann.
20240816_111155.jpg

And 400g lighter than the 840wh Dengfu E10/E22 battery.

Has anyone else thought about running the rear brake hose through the downtube, instead of the top tube?

My fear is that I'm going to hear cable rattle constantly. Not to mention, I'm a UK rider.
Screenshot_20240820_134041_Samsung Notes.jpg

So my preference of routing the rear brake would suit going out of the right side of the headtube, instead of the left.

Hallelujah!!!
20240823_155417.jpg

The reach adjust headset fits in the Hybridizer Sann👍🏿
20240823_155358.jpg

Massive shout out to Superstar Components. They always come in handy for amending geometry for frames I build.
20240823_155452.jpg

As you can see, the lower headset cup is perfectly seated into the headtube.
20240823_155447.jpg

Same thing for the upper headset cup.
20240823_155407.jpg

Naturally, the stack height has been altered. But that's OK for me, as the Large frame was on the smaller size for me at 6foot 3inches.
20240823_160342.jpg

The outer cup of the upper headset is wider than the headtube. So aesthetically, it's obvious it's a modification.
But it has made a difference imo. Especially since the reach in the low position is slightly over 480mm.
Screenshot_20240823_160745_Samsung Notes.jpg

It is a pity that Hybridizer don't have either an XL or XXL.
20240823_161111.jpg

Especially since this is the first emtb to use a Bafang motor which is CAT5 rated.

If anyone is thinking about buying a Hybridizer bike, I want to say that the bike is great. I also bought an adapter for bike parks (for a regular crankset without a motor and battery). The bike works really super.

Even with some problems and issues, the Hybridizer team is very responsive. They answer emails quickly and fix problems professionally. If you're unsure about buying a bike directly from Asia, you will be happy with Hybridizer.
Klemen
Where did you order the crank/BB adapter?

Hybridizer Sann in either MX setup or 29er

Personally, I do prefer it as a full 29er. Note the none-driveside crank position per each image to guage bb height change👍🏿

Looks good!

Went with mullet since those were the wheels I had plus the wife is 5'3. Also ran the suspension in the neutral setting. As a bonus, it did come with a 160mm crankset

I discovered something very sketchy and untypical for Bafang. Hybridizer forces to activate the ebike, by downloading their chinese app. If you swap the battery, change the display or the motor, it will be deactivated again. This is super annoying when having multiple batteries or wanting to switch to M560!

What's even the purpose of this app? Gathering userdata for free? I see no advantage in using this app.

Thanks for pointing that out.
Can anyone confirm, that Bafang is basically bricking YOUR bike, if you don't install THEIR app?

If yes, I assume that is a "feature" of this new in-tube-display? Just so one knows what to avoid in the future.

Never downloaded anything or even considered it as i pretty much hate any and all apps. The Sann was ready to go when i got it, including a full charge.

Shrug

Technically, the downtube display and remote aren't Bafang displays. Unlike the dpc245.3 etc. It's Hybridizers.

Screenshot_20240916_165445_Gallery.jpg

I too made that assumption. The Besst Tool doesn't recognise it as a HMI.
Screenshot_20240916_165436_Gallery.jpg

In addition, the display can't connect to either Bafang Go or Bafang Go+. It only works on Hybridizer' dedicated app.
It's somewhat similar to the DZ41 display. It recognises the protocols.

The DPC030 is the "True" Bafang display for top tube frames. Which will connect to Bafang Go/Go+ and Besst Tool. If I'm not mistaken, this display comes stock on the Frey Dopamine 2.0.

@Neeko DeVinchi this display is not manufactured by Hybridizer. The model is called Topology DZ45. See my post here. The brand Topology (which also produced the famous SW102) meanwhile belongs to Star-Union Wuxing and is listed here: DZ45 - Displays - Products - JIANDE WUXING BICYCLE CO.,LTD.

Btw you can swap the DK428 remote for a more ergonomical one: DK430. Unfortunately it can only be bought in bulk, not in small quantities. 😫 I was not able to source it...! The screenshot is from the attached catalogue PDF.

I was thinking about replacing my DZ45 with a Bafang DPC030.. I'm wiling to enlarge the cutout in the toptube, to make it fit. On the otherside I hate that Bafang is not allowing to show voltage instead of percentage as battery indicator anymore. I question whether doing a swap, is worth the effort, only for use of BESST GO+.

The Key-Disp KD186 also looks very promising.

I have been speaking with Xu regarding this frameset, and he confirmed you can purchase a compatible chainguide directly from them, this will help with better chainwrap and no modifications will be needed to make it fit,

Regarding Crank lengths, He said They can supply a set of 160mm cranks made by them, however, they only fit the M510 motor, as the 560 has a wider case, if you go for the 560, it will be supplied with the Bafang branded cranks.

He also confirmed he can supply an X-Fusion H3A RCP at a reasonable price (for Europe)

This will definitely be the frame i will be going for when I finally get round tobuilding up an E-bike, just need to sell my Norco now hahah!

Thanks for the feedback, regarding the forced activation. It seems like they didn't go through with it, but the development into that direction is very worrisome and counters the DIY-idea of these Eastern branded frames. I paid for the hardware, I demand the right to whatever I want with it.

Hey @Mabman, have you bought one? They seem to only ship to US and UK. I'm currently trying to convince them to ship to Europe..

Their website is very informative: HYBRIDIZER High-Pivot design, M500/M600-bracket and modern geometry with adjustable parts. I don't understand why this bike isn't becoming more popular amongst emtb enthusiasts? Even Rob reviewed it recently:
Here is their YouTube-Channel: Hybridizer bicycle

Am I missing out something?
Perhaps it is very heavy for the m510. 25 kg is a lot

its a alu frame with burly components. nothing strange

my full carbon e10 was also 26kg 😲
All companies started with heavy bikes. I hope that soon we will see a bike with an M560 motor weighing 20kg :) And it will be very quiet, like the M510 motor

What e bike do you have and what is the weight?
Cef49 (M560) - 22kg, Cef50 (M820) - 18,5kg, e10, M600 - 25kg. I'm tired of the noise of the M820 and M560 engines. Therefore, I decided to assemble the E82 with the M510 engine. I used to have an M510 v1.0 engine and it was very quiet. Do you think the CEF50 frame weighing 2.7 kg is a good frame? Why can't we make a 2.7 kg frame for the M510 motor?
