I have not seen this mentioned anywhere but there seems little point to me in washing your hands regularly if you do not also clean your phone ( and glasses/sunglasses...the latter a rareity in the UK) with anti bacterial wipes regularly as well.

Same here in France. Though in fairness people who trade in soul's shouldn't really be taken seriously anyway, not to mention that with the present situation there's going to be too many floating about so their business model's screwed anyway.
Must be my predictive txt ?

We're starting to ramp up .. 78 dead in France today .. I think it was a week ago we sat here and were amazed when Italy hit 50 in a day .. Now they're on over 600 a day.

I see there’s good help for businesses and employees but shit all for the self employed and soul traders yet ! Edit in the UK

This is why there’s a call for Universal Basic Income (UBI). This could be at a high level temporarily to get over the worst.

If we can bail out banks to the extent we did in 2008 (globally, not just uk) then we can do this for people.

A bit better Steve. At least you can see his credentials. Information is out of date in a day or two so this video and it’s accompanying article are now out of date.

Thanks for that Tomas Pueyo is the prime source for the two vids I posted earlier.

To everyone else, I strongly recommend that you watch the video all the way to the end. It explains in simple terms and with compelling graphics how vitally important is social distancing. The Chinese got it right, and those who had learned from SARS also got it right, Italy didn't (and then did, but too late). Share this video with your loved ones and "KEEP YOUR DISTANCE". It does not matter whether you are young and healthy and with a very low chance of death. By not keeping your distance you are spreading it.

i hope more is done to help me and other SOLE TRADERS as letting us get the equivalent SSP in Universal credit is a absolute joke £94 a week !

My wife works in a posh hotel. They've just been laid off from Monday.

She's getting paid, but I know what'll happen; she'll end up spending more money than usual because she's bored.

I'd be out on my bike every day until lockdown so I'd spend a fortune on diesel getting to the trails. Unfortunately, I have to work.

Birthday advice .. ??? As we're on full lockdown I'm starting to make Zimmer home bike park ..

Maybe this should be a vote .. but should Poo Mountain be included as a riding feature ... I can't decide if that's just going too far on trying to use what's available to you ?

I presume that's only horse poo, if so then yes use it, at least it will be a reasonably soft landing :D

Horse muck and rhubarb can be a dangerous combination!

A few years ago there was an old lady that was sat next to my wife and me in the pub. I don't know why, but she was telling us all about how her milk used to be delivered by horse and cart. I asked if the horse left much mess. She told me that when she was a girl, it was her job to go out and collect it with a bucket and shovel. I asked what she did with it. She told me that she put it on her rhubarb! I replied that she should come to our house, we have custard on ours. (One of my Dad's old jokes).
There was a stunned silence while she considered this and then she started laughing. Tears were streaming down her face and she was laughing with her whole body, but silently. She was trying to tell people why she was laughing but all she do was to point at me and gasp the odd word, like "horse muck", "rhubarb", and "custard". I really thought she might wet herself. Once she calmed down, she only had to look at me and she was off again. She looked as though she had never laughed in her life before. I was concerned at one point that she might actually have a heart attack! She was still laughing half an hour later when we left.

The old ones are the best! :ROFLMAO:

Italy just announced today's death toll, 793 poor souls gone just today :rolleyes:

For the few here that still do not understand the seriousness in this crazy situation, I will just refer to above numbers.

Stay safe out there!!

And we're (UK) are on a very similar path to them, I know you can't directly compare each country but that is a bit concerning.

Actually, you can compare them. That's why this is so frightening. Unfortunately I don't have an ft.com subscription, so this graph is 4 days old and shows the development of the virus in many countries after the 100th case.

One thing we can do...apart from the social separation advice etc, is try to enhance our health and especially do all the right things to strengthrn our immune systems. A lot of that has to do with nutrients and therefore diet......and taking advantage of what promises in the UK to be a few days with some sun to get some vitamin d. Plenty of advice online.

I guess, starting Monday, I will do my regular P90 and T25 winter indoor workouts all over again.
