Kenevo Gen1 Change 2022 kenevo to Mullet ?

Has anyone in here changed a 2022 kenevo comp to a mullet Setup. If so has it affected the geometry in a bad way? Hence making the handling poor?

Ive just ordered one and will be swapping the front o use a Fox 38 and 29" Wheel.

Interested to hear it others have done the same?

I picked up 2022 Kenevo expert on the Covid sale. I pulled the Boxxer and installed a 29er Domain 180 mm. With a 27.5 wheel, this razed the front end 20mm. I also put the rear shock bolt in the high position to try to keep from getting to slack . At this point the top tube is really close to being to high to go mullet let alone full 29er. If you mullet the bike, I would recommend you go with a 160mm 29er fork. The cheap way with the comp would be an 160mm air shaft and a fox 36 29er lower legs.

I've gone for a fox 38 170mm which I think others have done. Will see how it rides

I mulleted my Kenevo adding a Fox 40, which has about the same axle to crown as a 180mm 38. TBH it was fairly horrible for anything that wasn’t super steep. It was just too slack - I would unexpectedly wash the front wheel without notice on flatter turns in situations you wouldn’t imagine coming off.

New to the forums and bumping up an old thread.

I have a 2023 Kenevo Expert and am also thinking of going w/ a mullet setup.

Wondering if a Fox 36 160mm would work pretty well on a 29er?

Why not a 38 and I would go 170mm instead of 160mm then if you fancy a full 29er you can up it back to 180

Yes I did.
Boxxer 180 / 29 Ultimate. HA is 62.8 and BB height around 347. I really like it. Have a gen 3 Levo too. Have 1,5cm Spacer under the Boxxer and 30mm Riser. Will go for a 40mm riser.

Short guy note: I have a s3 and I tried the 170mm fork with a 29er on the front and the top tube was just to high. The setup jacks the front end up over 20mm and stand over went from 800mm to 818mm ish. I have a 29 inch inseam and it was balls to top tube time. I was very disappointed but I found another way. I upped the travel on a 27 Zeb to 190mm / 230x65 rear shock for a higher bb hight. I then got some 40mm iw rim wheels with some 27.5x2.8 tires. Run some tire inserts and sub 20 psi tire pressures and the Kenevo handles like a 125cc dirt bike. I really like a 27.5 plus setup on the Kenevo, you are able to run pressures low enough for rock fields but with wider rims you loose all the side wall flex. 2.4 / 2.5 tires are for gravel bikes, give me some 2.8 wild enduros for a Kenevo dirt bike all day long.

Yup, I picked up a a take off float x from a yt and it really changed the ride.
