Has anyone in here changed a 2022 kenevo comp to a mullet Setup. If so has it affected the geometry in a bad way? Hence making the handling poor?
Is that bad though?Lots. it raises the front 50mm and subtracts 1.5ish HTA
I've gone for a fox 38 170mm which I think others have done. Will see how it ridesI picked up 2022 Kenevo expert on the Covid sale. I pulled the Boxxer and installed a 29er Domain 180 mm. With a 27.5 wheel, this razed the front end 20mm. I also put the rear shock bolt in the high position to try to keep from getting to slack . At this point the top tube is really close to being to high to go mullet let alone full 29er. If you mullet the bike, I would recommend you go with a 160mm 29er fork. The cheap way with the comp would be an 160mm air shaft and a fox 36 29er lower legs.
How did you fix it? Assume you had the chip in high?I mulleted my Kenevo adding a Fox 40, which has about the same axle to crown as a 180mm 38. TBH it was fairly horrible for anything that wasn’t super steep. It was just too slack - I would unexpectedly wash the front wheel without notice on flatter turns in situations you wouldn’t imagine coming off.
the bike or the fox 40?I fixed it by selling it!
Is this iT?Think about a compression knob kit for the shock, great upgrade for little cash.
