You have to go to the settings in lower right corner, then choose „set the personal ride“ then Support Level Settings..
Thanks ! I only had 5 minutes and just assumed that option was for the mapping configuration ! :) and @temon10 Thanks also. Don't have anymore time to play so it will have to wait.

From the Vitus.

Doesn't seem to have read the data correctly. I think I was expecting to be able to give lots more data back here about how it was configured !!

Also, how is total voltage calculated :)

Support level % is still missing. Plus here is only global acceleration. It supports only FC1.0 params. :(

Looking foward to receiving mine ( in the air as we speak ), should be a bit of another learning experience I would suspect, but then what else would we do on a wintry night but research and learn about things.

Just swapped the forks/stem/bars ...

Quick test ride - no assistance. Walk mode works. Battery out and in. Still no assistance. Ran "Go" Torque sensor was working correctly.

1697724710704.png

Swapped the V2 display to the V3 display - no assistance.

Yes ..... It's the Devils Kilometres and @Waynemarlow's Karma ...

Remembering that the figures from Go+ all looked wonky (all left sliders) I tried setting the sliders to the right - acceleration, speed limit (all these now showed 0) Max output power and set startup angle to 1% instead of 0.

Saved the settings. Re-started the bike.

I have assistance again. I just need to work out what the settings all should be !

So beware, for some reason it's possible that in some instances (like mine) GO+ will wipe all your settings to some weird zero default.

Does anyone know what all the defaults are on a normal M510 as I'm guessing no one will know what they would have been on a Vitus M510 and it gives me somewhere to start.

Tried various settings.

It's interesting how long the overrun is in the top two modes on the Vitus when you run repeated back to back tests !

In the end.
Startup angle 0.
Acceleration 1 - feels like it gives a really long delay before feeding the power, 3 or 4 are better.
1 - 15% , 2 - 35% , 3 - 65% , 4 - 85%, 5 - 100% - feels ok, but 3 is lacking from what it was previously.

Fits as a kind of usable blend from Spesh's Eco/Trail/Turbo and Bosch's Eco/Tour/EMTB/Turbo.

% of what, max output power ? you can't adjust the % of power added ar your torque on crank arms (until to 350% originaly). With the BESST pro in add of the acceleration, angle and max ouput power (A). those can be adjusted it on each level

Yes. % of max power output. That's the only option in Go+ and I'm presuming/hoping it's also the only power setting GO+ overwrote.

I could try and get the original firmware and flash that with "Go". I'm presuming (as I don't know) that with the bafang firmware it will also flash the settings - but obviously that might not be the case .

Go+ doesn't have the option, but Go has the option to Flash from a local file. However I don't know if it actually works and if anyone here has tested it I haven't read about it.

And very important parameter Support level, which makes M510 FC2.0 defaults currents to 50,75,100,100,100% - and it does make sense. I suggest to lower max current in PASS1 to get better range - to hit max power cca 150W.

I thought it was my torque sensor, but it wasn't. The change to the FC2.0 controller totally eliminated the power cutoffs.

I have never really had the motor over running when I stopped pedalling with either the FC1.0 or FC2.0 controller. You may have a problem with your torque sensor, but I would just change the controller first (as its easy to change) and see if that makes a difference. Also the torque sensor for FC2.0 motors is not currently available, according to Chili Shen.
Hi. When you bought the controller, did it come with the motor cover or just the board? I see offers with the board on aliexpress

Mine came with the motor cover. If you can get just the board then its an easy swap out with your FC1.0 housing (5 screws).
The spec. of the controller should be printed on a sticker attached to the large capacitor.

Guys, has anyone tried greasing the overrunning clutch on the motor. Maybe it would help to avoid loud noise on rocky terrain?

Somebody say there should go only light oil in pedalling clutch. You can try to put there thick grease, but I think after a while it will rattle again.

You dont have much options, if you dont have any custom firmwares.
8.1 - 36V
9.1 - 43V
Or 10.1 -48V
Thanks for the reply. I apologize for forgetting to specify the voltages. For 48V is 10.1 a good FW now ? If such nuances with bootloader as on FC1 ?

First proper ride since "Go+" erased all my motor settings ..

I'd set acceleration to "1" - which felt fine in the garden. Out in the real world it was pretty horrible !

It doesn't seem to work like Acceleration Response on other systems.

You got some assistance, maybe 10% of the mode's max, certainly not zero.

Which was maintained for approximately 5 crank rotations, at which point it would feed in the power as normal. It didn't just bring the power in much slower from zero, it just created a delay state before it came in.

It was wet, slippy and horrible and I got soaked, so wasn't really a very positive test ride.

The lack of power coming in caused several stalled climbs. Easing off to change gear meant you then had 5 cranks revolutions before you got power again and then it came in suddenly so you'd spin up on a wet root on a climb and instantly lose all forwards momentum because it was so inconsistent, assuming you'd not already stalled out as you found yourself pretty much unassisted when you needed it.

ok, so that I can fix with changing the acceleration setting in go+ with the DPC245 V3 connected.

The other strange thing today was a sudden drop in assistance at 30%. With the Vitus I've never previously had a sudden and clear drop in power at that point, only the steady drop until 10% you'd expect with the voltage dropping.

It was quite horrible. You just didn't get anymore power in the top assist modes.

This would suggest that Go+ not only set to zero the settings which it shows as user configurable, but also overwrote all the configuration settings to some obscure default settings.

i kind of lose track on how you reached to this point as the thread got pretty distracting 😉.
Just to be clear: you changed the v2 DCP245 that came with your Vitus for a regular Bafang V3, and then used GO+ to adjust the parameters, with the results you have described. Is this correct?
Have you tried the Besst system to do the same?

Yes. I connected the V3 so I could test Go+.

Went into the motor settings screen, which didn't seem to show things correctly.

Switched back to the V2 and tried the bike and had no assistance (just walk mode).

Switch back again to the V3 and used Go+ to set the Acceleration/startup angle and the power % for each mode.

Disconnected and re-started the bike.

No, haven't tried the Besst system to do the same and don't have any idea what the Original Factory Vitus settings would have been.

Latest original version of firmware we have so far. Did not spot anything distracting in this firmware. Apart of hardcoded speed limit for a throttle to 32kmh. :(

Thinking allready to make a faking device for speed sensor. Got used to throttle quite a lot. ;)

I see. Next time I use my Besst system I will take a screenshot and share it with you. I did modify the defaults but just to decrease the assistance on Eco mode, and it has worked fine for me. I'm on FW 10.1 48v

Hi guys, newbie here. Quick question for those with the dpc-245 v3 and bafang go+ support.

Does this newer version screen allow you to derestrict the 15.5mph speed limit or is it simply to allow you to tune the modes to your own preferences?

About to purchase on aliexpress but unsure if its just the screen I'll need or if I need a programming line tool also.

Welcome Newby ! :)

Go+ doesn't let you adjust the max speed or the wheel size.

From my experiences, for now, don't bother with the V3. It doesn't seem to work with "Go" and on your Mythique three's a good chance "Go+" will wipe all your motor configuration (it did on mine).

To de-restrict the box in this thread seems to work well,it's about 35 euro's ish.

Are you the guy who broke his mech ? I think any Shimano 11 speed will work as a replacement. The Microshift doesn't work so well on the Mythique in the top gear, there's too much lateral play in the design when it's at it's limit. I'm on my second and it's the same. Either going to buy a Deore 5100 or move to cues (I think the same shift ratios). There's a Mythique thread if you look in Manfacturers, Vitus. Or click on "What's new" and scroll down.

Thanks @Zimmerframe saved me £60 buying something that's a bit useless to me. Shame as I'd like the option to fully customise and derestrict with one upgrade but nevermind I'll just get the programming lead then.

I don't particularly need the extra speed as such just hate the Brickwall feeling when you do hit the limit!

Yes I'm the same guy that broke his mech coming down helvellyn, unsure what I hit but it wasn't a big hit at all but it ruined the mech. I replaced it with a Shimano Diore M5100 and it seems to be working fine so far 👍
