Torque sensor M510: How to remove the torque sensor from the M510 motor? Like the M500 - push it inside the motor with hammer (gearings are out before), only the difference is that the retaining ring on the outside is not removed first? The M510 does not have retaining ring on the outside of the axis (torque sensor).

Request clarification. They mention that an specific tool needed ? i have replaced mine without any problems, no specific tools or calibration (not recognized by BESST tool)

Is this new M510 v2 the same as FC 02 ? or a different new model ? Whats this motor designation sticker reads? This new renamed 5 new modes are probably software updates or Is there a change in the hardware? Like the torque sensor?

Sorry Caio I just named it V2 like version 2, but I mean FC02.

I‘m selling my used M510 FC1 appr. 1.800 km never opened never saw pressure washer or excessive water from hose or rain. Motor runs on firmware

CRX10NC4814i101003-1-cs-28-2230-boot3-0-20220517161110-48v-M510.bin

with no issues. The motor comes with new crankset 170mm, new spider and 32T chainring, new motor cover, new bashguard, all new wiring, mounting bolts, etc.

Including used DP-C241 display (Bluetooth and USB port) and used remote unit.


I sell it because I received my new M510 motor recently. I don’t need all the new parts that came with the motor beside display and remote.

90 kg and fit. 50 km and 1.500 hm medium assist level (2-3/5). 840 Wh battery. Ambient temperature 25 C. You know this is hard to compare and may be misleading…

I was able to ride 69km with 1400m of vertical with M500 and 768WH battery, Panasonic cells, assembled by battery specialist, with 10% remaining. Although Power attenuation below 20% was awful. Beefy tires and wheels always, DH graded. (Maxxis DHR and Assegai), higher tire pressure helps rolling. Tropics baking hot, 20 – 30o Celsius. Also, worth noting that I’ve used 27.5" in the back and 29' in the front for this ride. terrain was mostly gravel roads.

I have not tried YET such long distances with my new M510 and new 840WH pack that i have assembled with LG batteries. This motor is more efficient so i believe that i can run more than 90km and 1500m of vertical without a problem. I'm fairly fit, 100kg, i have been better (lol). I usually alternate between assist level 2-4, 5 when reaching steep climbs, but mostly in 2-3.

I use now for longer rides 29' wheels in the back (Maxxis DHR) for comfort but also for efficiency since the roll over factor of the 29'is better than 27.5', this has a play on the overall battery consumption in my view, I have not measured that though.

On the M510, I can use more the lower assist modes when compared to M500, assist 1-2 are usable, it kind of cancels out the weight of the bike, on the M500 1-2 were not so usable. I guess because of that this motor (M510) is more power efficient, consuming less battery.

Like a normal bike, clipless pedals always when you want to put some power on the pedals, let’s say more efficient, good to mention when you want to extract the max out of your e-rig.

I'm going to test out the max distance soon on a course with 94km 1500m of vertical, if it runs out of juice, I’ll have a back-up battery on the support vehicle that will follow us throughout this ride.

The average speed and the steepness of the climbs are very important 😊

M510 FC 2.0 Dengfu E10 size S :
- Battery 769Wh (LG 3200mAh cell)
- 4 short ride cause of Ramadhan fasting month total 69km
- Total elevation gain 900m
- Rider weight 56kg
- Assist level mostly 2
- Temperature 22C
Battery remaining 75% :D

Even a change in temperature alone will mean a change in battery capacity. You yourself refueling properly before setting off will mean many more Kms let alone if you had a few too many bevvies the night before.

This equation result is speed (velocity) not energy! 😂

Have 2 test.
First one 75.26 km with 1788 m elevation, av temperature 18 C. at the end of ride still had 20% of battery. Saved a lot during ride (2-3 level, very rarely 4 -5 from 9)
Second one 44.15 km with 2187 m elevation, av temp 16 C. rode on 4 or 5 assist level from 9. after 10% of bat there is practically no assistance. Finished the test
Bike with standard dengfu bat (840 i suppose) weight 24 kg. My weight without nothing 77 kg
My guess i could make 2500 m without without much suffering. But it really depends from gradient

@Waynemarlow for sure, there are a lot of variables, that quick reports like this don't take into account. but they can give you rough ballpark estimate of what other people are achieving, and somewhat help you pick the right system/battery size.

But what I also find misleading, when people are listing miles/km-s that they are achieving, without even specifying elevation gain and pedal assist mode used. Numbers like this are truly meaningless.

i bought mine through this link at AliExpress for my M510. Bolts only, crank arms i used the regular bafang one that came with the motor kit for my old M500, it works fine.

alike the other, only the M500/600 (M16) is available for ordering ?

i have found finally. thank's. expensive but i don't find other.
