Oh wow ....... How much easier is it to lace up a wheel, when you have the same number of holes in the rim and hub ...... :ROFLMAO:

I'm going to run a Maxxis Minion DHR in 2.6 width. This is much wider than the 2.4 Dissector that comes standard. I want to run lower pressures for maximum traction.

Drive side.

Rotor side. I ended up going a Gold and Black combination in the rotor bolts.

And just a top view, so you can see the Oil Spill hub, with a predominant Gold colouring.

On the bike delivery. I spoke to the shop owner today. He said saw an email and the bike could be delivered next week. He said he will try and send me the Tracking Details ........ Going on past performance. I won't hold my breath ......

Oh BTW. I was thinking of running the tyre logos at 90 degrees to the valve stem, to be away from the DT Swiss logos. Thoughts ???

Now I'm starting to feel a little embarrassed, it's not nice to bully others who like details down to the smallest detail and spend their hard earned money on their hobby. I'm not that much better myself who has bought three new bikes in as many years and who is waiting in anticipation for what the G4 has to offer. OP's bike is super cool and I'm envious of it, but having said that, I'm maybe the only one who is.
Enjoy your ride and thereat the bike as a lady deserves to be treated.

Do what you want who cares, I was the first to coin this the Liberace build. I like gold/black but this is a bit over the top for me but that shouldn't bother you if thats what you like.

I won't buy a Trek, Specialed or AMFLOW because I think they are poser brands, but thats just me and I'm not sure why anyone would care what I think.

You know if the OP makes an extra sticker with the bike name on, half the people he encounters are going to ask "Why's it called a Libby Race ? ... Mate ..." :)
Too Late ........ The bike will be named after the Vegas Legend ....... It will no longer be the Amflow PL Carbon Pro. It will be the Amflow Liberace  .............. Order placed with my graphics guy in Melbourne ......

BTW ........ All input and comments to the bike design is welcomed and encouraged ...... Both The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly ......:eek::eek:

So I've ordered an Amflow PL Carbon Pro. Arrival is about 6 weeks. I've ordered lots of parts to customise the bike. I'll run through the order list and post photos as parts turn up.

There are so many parts and upgrades that I'll just post them bit by bit.

First Upgrade is the wheels. I am going to mullet the bike and I want to run Alloy rims for compliance and less chance of damage. I do ride really technical rocky areas, so I am concerned about damage to the carbon rims.

I have some black alloy DT Swiss Rims in 29 and 27 at home. So step one will be to build the rear wheel in 27.5. I've ordered a pair of XD hubs in Oil Spill. I'll initially just build the rear wheel to see if I like the bike in it's mulleted configuration. I do build the wheels myself.

I have also bought gold spoke nipples to add to the wheels. The spokes will be black.

I also have ordered some Gold SRAM 203mm rotors. With black bolts of course.

The Alloy rims are Black so I have ordered some Gold DT Swiss Decals

Its your bike,so you can do what you like, but that is way too much gold.

And…was that your old bike on EMBN’s bike vault the other day? Did you submit it or was it the new owner?
Yeah that was my bike. I submitted that photo about 3 weeks before I sold it. As I said. I had no intentions of selling it. I wanted to keep it as my spare and sell the E-Marin Carbon Rift Zone.

But yeah. Offered too much money for the Merida, when the guy turned up to look at the Marin. So I let it go.

Not that I build these bikes for resale, but that's the thing with custom designs and Bling. It can be polarising. But find someone who likes the design as much as you, and they will pay well above market rates to get the bike, because they cannot get the same elsewhere.

As long as it's your own bike, it should be obvious you can't do what you want with it.
I am posting these designs and progress to get input. I will always use my own eye for final design. But I really appreciate all the comments.

As has been shown. I am making subtle changes from the comments. That will include, maybe dialling back the gold.

I have far too many graphics and fittings in gold, than what will be fitted. But I will try different combinations and amounts when the bike arrives. And make a final decision then.
