I wonder if anyone else has had this challenge?
I have purachsed an Amflow Carbon Pro PL 800 (Large) directly from Amflow in France . I have an issue where the battery does not seem to charge at all. It has never been ridden.

Everything went together well and Ive paired the phone etc and connected the cassette etc. However the battery does not seem to charge at all being stuck on 24%. I havent ridden it 10 metres yet so absolutley not activity-related

I have switched off / on , connected bike then power , re-paired the phone done all updates and other hacks that I know of but still it persists with 24% ; the battery charge light is red. Green when I disconnect from bike

Anyone else seen this? Can anyone help?

What have I missed?

( I have posted in Customer Support as well but Im naturally impatient .. Why weren't they waiting for my text ? -:)

A quick update from me.
Thanks iXi, that generated an immediate response. We have now exchanged extensive DMs but, unfortunately, still an unresolved issue.
- I tried a number of work-arounds that I was asked to perform. No fix.
- I downloaded the log and sent to them.
- Amflow advise that there was a problem between charger and battery.
- They suggested taking to a local dealer to retest (there are no local dealers with bikes / chargers currently).
- Amflow have now agreed to send me a new charger to test.
I shall now wait for that but I am unhappy as you might imagine.:(

Was one of those reading the output of the charger?

I'm assuming your battery pack has a passive BMS because if it had an active BMS you'd be able to diagnose it with your phone via Bluetooth. The first step would be to check the balance leads to see if any of them have come loose or detached as this will give you a total output that is equivalent to the series value of the of the cells up to where the loose/detached lead is located. (Because this is a new pack, this problem could also be caused from an error in assembly of the battery pack where someone got the balance leads attached wrong). Next step would also be in the battery pack, because if the cells are out of balance by enough margin, the BMS would disable the charge input. To do that you need to have a multi meter and open the case and enable access to the cells so that each cell can have its value measured. This can be done by removing the JTS connector from the BMS and measuring there, or by placing the multi meter probes on each parallel cell group and measuring that value. Again, because it is a new pack, it seems unlikely that the cells would be out of balance, however the same procedure would reveal if one of the cells is faulty, which would also result in the battery pack being imbalanced enough to reject a charge.

Thanks @Tom Sellers . I hadnt written up everything that Id done but (to me ) it was always clear that it was a duff charger. There were a number of tell-tales eg the charger never getting warm , everything appearing to work but no charge information plus pins all appearing to be in place.

The problem is now resolved. I ebntually managed to get Amflow to send me a replacement charger which immediately worked.

To their credit when they eventually got permission to send me one, it arrived the next day and , again to their credit, they have promised to review their troubleshooting procedures as art the moment they dont have enough dealers with available stock .. at least in SoF. They need to sort that as well as the 'traditional" bike suppliers are very well presented.
