I haven't seen the Levo flipchip and don't know where it is or how it works. But a flip chip usually changes one pivot point in the rear suspension meaning a slight reduction in BB height and H/A in low and raised/steeper in high.

Lower/slacker is more stable.

You want a really stable Levo? buy the largest you can fit, run it in low, fit a -2deg angle headset and 26" wheels and tyres (not plus).

it won't be as fun to ride except for flat out but it will be pretty bloody stable.

Stability is the opposite of nimble. You're going to have to compromise if you crave both.

@Doomanic Why not using the compare function of the spec website? At least for germany it is working if you use a normal computer (i couldnt found that function using my phone).

I didn’t see that option when I was on the Spesh site last night. I’ll have another look tonight.

Its a little bit hidden. Hover over your model of interest, mark the little checkbox (right top). Mark another model. An you should see a compare option on bottom. Choose it and you have a side by side list view.

do you mean how it plugs into the battery? its magnetic so should align and connect easy. if it doesnt its because the cable is clamped wrong. I am assuming its the same for 2019 models but if you can see the cable clamp loosen it off, plug the battery in and then nip the clamp up this should give exactly the right cable length and tension to make plugging in easy

I know it's magnetic but it's like trying to put two magnets together where they just keep fighting each other,very tricky and a little annoying.

Noisy motor,dodgy battery connection,the signs are not looking good for my new steed. :(

My Dealer said they have stopped shipment (as mentioned) and some motors are noisy and some are not. Our dealer is going to have owners bring their new bikes back to check what they have. Then looking for a direction from Spec on a fix etc...
Can Specialized Rider Care respond to whether there is a motor issue, and whether we should be concerned about purchasing the Turbo Levo 2019 at this time?

No issues with magnets just difficult to align, the whole battery insertion and connection is the only issue with the bike, sure it’s just a matter of getting used to it, prob operator error.

Has anyone seen the S-works in person yet and can comment on the Chameleon color? I like both the Expert colors but would ideally want the S-works for the low weight. Is it a bit ... tacky? I've only seen such paint jobs on cars.

It’s exactly the same color as my Diverge. And that color is super sick. The only difference is the glossy finish which looks even more awesome.

Thanks for the pics on the sparkly Chameleon color. In the end I decided to go with the red/blue Expert which I think looks amazing.

Btw, I sized down for 2019 from L to M. I'm 178cm / 5'10. Tried both and preferred the nimbler handling of the smaller frame. The new Levo reminded me a little of my 2015 Stumpjumper. It felt lighter and quicker than the 2018 Levo. Easier to pull the front wheel up. I bet the range is better.

As for the motor noise, I was told the same. Not hopeful I will get the bike this year.

@Gary funnily enough i am doing just that, im just starting to build a hardtail and for the first time i have bought a medium frame instead of a large
When i was looking at the 19's in the flesh recently, i concluded that an M would probably be what i would go for over an L, whereas with the 18 i was 100% an L. I am 6ft with a 32ish inseam.

Both the L and M fit, bit the m just felt right, for want of any technical explanation

OK, just found it but it doesn't show all the components and it's major things like forks and groupsets that are missing.

I’m also six foot and went for the large,it’s a very big bike but I’m old and preferred a little more room in the cockpit if that makes sense.
I’m still pondering wether I’ve made a mistake with what size bike I’ve choosen but it still feels very nimble and Iove it. :)

I had a 2018 medium, just got a 2019 large and the large feels much better to me, i’m 5’11”

Did you get to ride them? I was only able to sit on the M and L and concluded L was a better fit for me. I'm 5' 10" with 32 inch inseam. I'm wondering if I can get a ride somewhere.

Only in car park - i will go with the smaller standover if i have a choice between 2 sizes that i am happy with, L was fine for me, but M felt more chuckable - but i have a Vitus Sommett which is very slack etc so i have that base covered in my quiver.

I think the newer geometry gives you options over which direction you can go in size wise

Hopefully this makes things a bit easier for anyone trying to compare them, i am useless at spreadsheets so excuse any errors, i can email it to anyone if they think they can improve it.

EDIT: Now included weights for each model, with the battery they come with - i.e Expert and S-Works weight is with 700wh battery.

I have not listed motor in the spreadsheet as this is same across range.
