Just as a footnote here, I have tried various other inserts and still managed to damage the rim. Bonus with the air liner is, that you can still ride it even if you lose all the air from the tyre.

If you want stronger wheels, go for DT Swiss. But I suggest you get some vittoria air liners in any case as you will just trash your wheels anyway. I have been though 4 wheels in the past and learned the hard way.

Im surprised that she has not jumped straight onto the ebike thing, i would have thought that given the chance it would be the first thing that she would try. I know that Emma and Tracy that used to run the Glentress hub and im sure that you will know them. are both on ebikes.

You might want to look at the Spank Vibrocore bars, they eliminated the arm pump that i was getting and got them from amazon for £42 at the time.

Yep. that was me. Managed to rip a hole in my tyre about 15 mins later. had to ride on the insert back to the van and let the rest of the guys continue on.

Had this same thought myself and it's Defo the high spec model. It's not worth even looking at the lower model considering the small price difference.
