Not hard, but will take a fair bit of time to drop the motor out of the way and remember you will need the correct middle section of little bits that go behind the chainring, cant remember the propper name for them, sorry.
Yes, i do quite a lot and if its somewhere that we all know quite well like the Golfie, then i put in a couple of runs while the rest of the guys are doing the big climbs. I have got the timing within a few mins to get them at the top. Ebike can come in handy for the rest of them, as its not the...
Magura's were powerful enough for me but didn't like the modulation so changed to Shimano zee and and seems a fair bit better. You can usually pick them up pretty cheap. I got them for £80 each.
Have been getting trapped nerve in both of my palms over the last couple of years, mostly during long rides on the hardtail, but this problem then transfers over to the other bikes including my ebike. Anyway, i have been using sram foam grips and they seem to really help with the problem...
I never felt the need to go below 165mm. As Gary has said here before, its all about you timing and if you go too short your front to rear platform may affect your bikes handling.
I have a minus 1.5 degree headset from works in my merida e 160 and it works well enough, much better than the original that developed a creak every 2 to 3 weeks. It's been in for well over a year now.
I know I have said this here before, after smashing up 4 wheels with various types of lightweight inserts, the only ones that will keep your wheels in one piece are vittoria air liners. Just for reference I'm 65kg but pretty much only ride enduro and sometimes what I would describe as old school...
I have been through 4 or 5 litres of muc off and finally given up on it. Refuses to seal the tiniest of pin holes and seems to leak through at the bead too. Having looked online, I'm not the only one either. Pity, it's easy to use though. Gone back to stans race.
Fitted a 2019 boxxer onto my e 160 after running a 180mm lyrik and it sits at 570mm axle to crown height the same as th lyrik, so will not affect the head angle at all. Best move i have made, steering precision noticeably improved and tracks the ground more efficiently too.
Ohlins was a good move, was getting leg cramps on long descents, not so much now. Just to be clear, the type of riding that we do is usually very steep and techy. Not so sure I would recommend my setup for people that ride trail centres, although you should still get away with it.
I have just not that long ago, put a 200mm Boxxer on my Merida eonesixty and it made a noticeable difference to the steering precision. Was running 180mm Lyriks prior to that and although the fork has 20mm more travel the crowns are flat, so there was no need to reduce that travel. I am also...
