    2026 Santa Cruz Bullit

It's still a massive letdown for the Bullit to be stuck with the 600wh when the competition are all offering bikes available with the 800wh. Santa Cruz not offering any single eMTB with full/long range sounds strange to me.

    Santa Cruz Vala

Santa Cruz are listing the models in the names of their pictures on their website. That photo along wirth the one of the linkage are referencing as VA-BU in the HTML (Vala-Bullit). Santa Cruz are not even hiding it, not sure if it was done on purpose.

    Giant Reign 2 E+ 2022 - nothing but problems

I had a 2022 Reign E+2 and now a 2024 Reign E+1 and not a single issue with both of them. Yamaha motors are pretty reliable, but shit happens. A friend had the exact same issue as you and Giant had to replace the motor, it was replaced within a week.

Levo Gen 3 Levo Gen 4 2023/4/5/6 Rumours...

You can throw in the Demo & Enduro in that analysis too, products are so old that people are forced to move away from Specialized even if they want to be loyal. Seems like there's no hurry to update their bikes right now even if they're losing sales.

    Other 2025 Rail Gen5 bikes

The whole industry is rolling out new bikes with that blank plate. Bosch will most likely come up with a new screen and most of the bikes will already be compatible with it.

    Reign E+ 2022

I'm pretty sure we'll see alu & carbon options from Giant for 2026. Lots of competitors are doing this strategy for their ebikes and it's working very well (Trek, Specialized). 2026 Giant models should be available OCT/NOV this year, so we're not that far away from seeing these new bikes along...

What did you buy your ebike this week?

Finally received my WAO Convert wheelset that was ordered on Black Friday. Installed new RT-MT905 rotors and Linkglide LG700 cassette at the same time.

    Reign E+ 2022

Yamaha just posted about the development of their new gen system which should translate into the Giant Syncdrive Pro 3. It looks like they're using the exact same bolting paterns and similar casing as PW-X3 motors and there's a new light motor...

    Yamaha New Generation System

Yamaha just announced development of their new generation of motors : the PW-LINK series. It's more a teaser than anything else as they're not providing any specific details or specs. https://www.yamaha-motor.eu/gb/en/ebike-systems/new-generation-system/

That MTB Canada website seems very sketchy, but it looks like the rumor is true. Forbidden's owner posted a picture of the future Dreadnought eMTB using the DJI Avinox system, clearly Forbidden will be surfing on the DJI hype and they know what they're doing by posting that picture. In my...

    Reign E+ 2022

The motor keeps pushing for like a second after you stop peddling making the chainring/wheel continue spinning, this is normal behavior...it has nothing to do with the rear hub. This is a great feature when going over ledges or roots. This feature is not specific to Yamaha motors as Bosch &...

Asking for advice on Turbo Kenevo Build

250psi for 76kg sounds a lot to me ? You should be in the 180-190psi range, something is truly off here with your shock or setup. Make sure to cycle your shock each time your add 50psi to have your negative chamber is balanced, otherwise it can give the false impression that rebound is fast...

    Reign E+ 2022

Yamaha are only exiting the US market, but will continue to sell ebikes elsewhere. The market is too competitve to sell bikes like the Yamaha YDX-Moro series in a successful manner, this bike was a few generations behind on a geo & design perspective. It's highly unlikely that Yamaha will stop...

Snap and there it is. Carbon fiber broke on my Levo. 🙃

Yamaha ebikes were outdated from the beginning, the fact that they need to discount them 60% and throw in a second battery for free is all you need to know about these bikes. Yamaha motor contract with Giant is most likely the largest motor contract in the whole industry as Giant are selling...

Snap and there it is. Carbon fiber broke on my Levo. 🙃

Sorry to burst your bubble, but the Brose motors on Turbo Levos are not the most reliable out there, it's well known. I don't think shops would stock motors if the system was reliable. A friend is on its 3rd motor, Specialized replaced the 3rd one for free even if out of warranty. Great...

The more I read your posts, the more I realize how hard it'll be for DJI to gain a significant market share of the eMTB world. The security concerns by some countries are legitimate and China are not even allowing that to happen in their own country, DJI are in for some tough legal battles that...

This is not a great path for success, people are looking after the Avinox system, not the Amflow bikes...do not throw unknown chinese suspension in the mix on top...what a nightmare that would be for the end user. DJI needs to secure a large OE contract to properly anchor themselves in the...

    Reign E+ 2022

There were 2 updates in a row last week. One was really quick to upload and the second one was longer, last one is including the LED dance. I'm pretty sure the LED dance is to eliminate the guessing when powering on the bike, now you just press the button once and the LEDs start dancing...
