The wheels have two small holes drilled in each rim. This is where the air instantly begins to escape. They would need blocking off with something, but the original rim tape covers those up from the inside.
I unfortunately assumed that the yellow tape already in place would be ok. Does this mean that these rims are not "tubeless ready". I'll buy some tape tomorrow. The tape looked a lot like the stuff on my "cheap Cube" which worked out of the box.
Had a slow puncture on the rear, so armed with a bottle of Stan's and a tubeless valve, I gave up half my dinner break for the job at hand. Stripped the wheel, ditched the tube,found the thorn, re-assebled, added fluid, pumped and popped the bead...... Pssssssssss

That's why I asked, I already had a puncture and it was really easy to remove the tyre. Wasn't sure how well the bead would seat and like you say, a flimsy sidewall. Thanks ??
Just have a look first, usually you can thread a pre bent piece of wire to get around the corner and pull the new cable through. I didn't drop the motor on my last bike, the online walkthrough said I had to. Should you have to drop the motor then torque settings are available online. Just start...
Did you flip the chip without changing wheel size then ? Just assumed you would only do that with a wheel change. I see that they included a different brake caliper mount also for the switch.
If I'm right it's the 6.8 with Fox suspension that gets the tan walls. The lower models get "plain" black and Rockshox. (Wink wink ?) Fingers crossed for a delivery tomorrow then. We get the weekend to build it up and dial it in.... Weathers shite here atm ?
Netherlands here, I ordered my Jam2 "Bosch" via bikecomponents.de on the 27th of Dec allowing for a 20 day delivery time. Latest mail informs me that my bike will now arrive on the 27th of Feb. Don't want to sound dramatic but the wait is killing.... My only consolation is that the price went...
