    Focus Jam2 6.8 Mullet

My bike came with the extra adapter for the alternative axle position. You will need to shorten the chain by a couple of links. It will slow you top speed a little. 36 teeth on the front sounds very big to me.

    Focus Jam2 6.8 Mullet

Your bike looks fabulous ?? What's the travel on those Zebs ? I have mine at 180 and I feel it's too much, seeing as the mullet shortened my chainstays too on the lowest position. It loops out quicker on slow techy climbs. I'm looking at shortening the trave to 160 mm. Also on steep climbs I...

    Mullet on a Bosch gen4

I'll get my LBS to change it, I assume the same setting has to be entered into the kiox display as well.

    Focus Jam2 6.8 Mullet

Would you believe that I bought exactly the same wheel, logical choice really. I have a WTB Vigilante on the rear, loadsa knobs, although 2.5 from another bike. What's the clearance like on a 2.8 ?

    Focus Jam2 6.8 Mullet

I've gone Mullet and now the bike is just a little slower than it was. 3 shops have already told me that its not possible to change the wheel size via the dealer Bosch Software. I cant keep up with my mates Cube anymore, cant have that now, can we !

    Focus Jam2 6.8 Mullet

When we flip the chip and fit the 27.5" rear wheel, are we shortening the chain at all ?

    Answered Tubeless going flat

Hi, thanks for the tips. The WTB tape that I bought was wide enough to fit the whole inside surface and two upturned sides of the rim. This made it a real pain to fit in a straight line. The tape has virtually no stretch and I almost gave up as I was convinced that the tape was too wide. After a...

Question to bike 6.8 plus with Bosch motor

Thanks for checking Gary. Well there's one thing we can be sure of, this chain is only going to get longer ???

Question to bike 6.8 plus with Bosch motor

It's at quite an angle but I doubt I'll ever bottom out in 1st gear unless I go out with MacAskill for an afternoon ?

Question to bike 6.8 plus with Bosch motor

Hi Graham, I appreciate your concern. Shimanos instructions were to be followed without load to the suspension and five to six links. Six in my case. At this length, leaving the ground in top gear and possibly the gears below, would allow the chain to scrape over part of the now unsprung...

Question to bike 6.8 plus with Bosch motor

The link to the Shimano site, like the diagram here above, said five to 6 links. This I tried and when the bike was in 12th gear, the derailleur was redundant and the chain was hanging on the chainstay. Taking another 2 links out fixed this, adding a little tension to the drive train. I still...

Race Face AR30 rims, with breather holes. I just received my WTB tape so I'll have another go soon as. Thanks for your reply.

I'm in the same boat. Does the air escape first via the spoke nipples to the rim cavity and then.out through the air holes ? The rim tape that the wheels came with looked pretty bona fide to me too, but air escaped via the breather holes.

Question to bike 6.8 plus with Bosch motor

That would be chain over largest sprocket and not through derailleur, but then how many links extra ?
