New tyres, and put a 203mm rear disc on because it was on offer and I do far more rear brake pads than front on my MTBs....
Just swapped the saddle as the fizik was ripping me a new one and it's a big improvement... Tweaked motor setting in the Shimano app. Other than that no changes, and...
I've got some hunts on the road bike, they were a bit heavier than spec too, I think they must fill the rims with helium before they weigh them, they have been good though apart from the shockingly bad/dangerous rim tape they originally installed....
I'm running soft MM/BB combo here in the...
Thanks
I suspect I've got the poverty hubs, no branding on them at all....
Was contemplating some Hunts at 1860g to avoid the misery of a hub fail, shouldn't need to really though, 300 quid....!!
400g isn't a deal breaker at all, maybe I'll just push my luck....😀
I swapped the "instant death on anything other than dry" factory tyres for a MM/BB combo in soft compound. They are draggier but it's an ebike so...?? Only possible downside would be a bit of a hit to the range, but went out yesterday without fully charging and had more than enough for at least...
My old Cannondale full suss (non elec) used to eat the rear suspension bearings in no time, but they had used stupid little bearings for them! Even worse you had to bond them in, so a pain to change!!
I also tried the Trek Rail (but it was too numb, glad I came across the Rise instead) - this "ballpark" would also put me on a medium. The large rail had the factory dropper a good 12mm past it's min insertion line to get right for me.
To give a serious response, get a proper bike fit (on a...
Haven't watched it but that's total rubbish... I have a long inside leg and need a high saddle position, it's primary to my fit. You can't just make an assumption based on someone's overall height. I'm 179 - 179.5 cm and that would put me below medium at 448mm reach.... I'm very happy on my XL...
I have felt like pedalling at 60rpm I get minor support but spin up, without putting lots of effort in, and the boost increases noticeably.... This is climbing though, if you're on the flat I'm not sure of the difference...
I've got plenty of power in trail and too much in boost, what they heck do you need more for!!!??!
I would like a few extra MPH though, 15 just isn't enough between trails
The seat tube on the XL is extended compared to a large.... You really wouldn't want much more seat tube sticking out of there surely?
I tried the L and XL at the shop, both of those saddles on this pic are set roughly for me - bear in mind the XL has a longer (20mm?) dropper that the L
The XL...
I'm 5'10.5" and went for the XL but I have long legs, centre of cranks to top of saddle in line with seat tube I set at 81.5cm on all my bikes...
Size seems bang on for me reach is good too - not sure on weight, not been an issue and lighter than my mates Scott E-Bike.....
My H30 doesn't have any graphics on the hub either.....
Will have to see how it goes, I've just dropped 100+ quid on tyres that (hopefully) won't try to kill me when it's moist like the factory maxxless...
If the hub is an issue I'd probably go for some hunts or as others have...
Ordered a MM and a Big Betty soft.... I'll update when I see what they are like in the real (Pennine) world....!!! Thanks for the input.... Blimey tyres are expensive these days!!!
Update: another 400g on the bike with the MM and the BB, on top of the rimpacts and stans but the bike does have a...
Blimey, got the Orbea Rise a month ago and it's been nice and dry and loved the Maxxis tyres, went out in the soggy woodland muck today and the Rekon was Utterly hopeless!!
Thinking of swapping to my old faves of Hans Dampf on the front and Nobby Nic on the back, but have been suggested the HD...
Bit late to this post but I'll put my bit in
I ride near the Pennines (UK), woods, moors, rocky tracks with water bars etc. Not DH or throwing myself of big drops etc but I do like to go fast. On my hardtail normal bike with Hans Dampf and Nobby Nic I have run tubeless 19 and 21psi all along...
