The 61mm on a 60mm stroke shock would only give you 1mm of preload before binding. I would go 67mm to be on the safe side. I run 65mm stroke with 67mm 700lb spring. www.tftuned.com has them in stock since I don’t think ur in USA. Just google fox 700lb spring and a bunch should show up
700lbs. Depending on the Stroke of your rear shock, you can use 700x61mm with standard stroke, or 700x67mm if extended. I’d buy quick as I’m finding them instock when I google them….they were out of stock just about everywhere a few months ago.
I noticed but have never been to that spot yet. I did a night ride out that way Monday night up to the top of Slacker Hill from the Tennessee Valley lot. Great View (Rail resting on the ground in the dark lol)
I did the same thing and swapped to160mm e13 Crankarms but just torqued by feel and never had them come loose. Interesting that ur driveside was the wobbly side as its usually the non drive side falling off. I did have the original 165mm ND side fall off once.
I ordered new standard hardware from offset bushings and just installed it (I did re-use the black caps from original hardware as silver didn't look as good.). I had no fitment issues. With the spring off i Jumped on the pedals on no resi or seat stay contact on a large Rail 7. Shock Bushings...
Think I'm finally done upgrading.....unless I upgrade to a Volt/Raw 9.7 frame, & swap all the parts over. Components are dialed (just need to install 220mm rotor up front).
Upgrades:
2021 Fox Factory 38 Grip2 170mm
2021 Fox Factory DHX2 230x65
Santa Cruz Reserve 30 I9 Wheels
Magura MT7 Brakes...
I'm Running QM44 w/ MT7's and 203mm MDR-C rotors Front and Rear. I did order 220mm rotor and a QM45 adapter for the front. Rotor is here, adapter due in another week.
The Stock RS Deluxe Select+ shock due to it's lack of tunability is a POS compared to the 21 Fox Factory DHX2. DHX2 of course feels more supple , traction is improved, and w/ my set up, since i'm running a longer stroke, the end stroke feels more progressive in the area of extended travel.
I did, I was searching for one but nothing in stock. Came across a 7 month used Rail 7 and pulled the trigger. As a big guy I was concerned about battery life but I don't ride in eMTB or Turbo much at all. Mainly Eco/Tour(eMTB lite) which gives me a good workout and 20-25miles of 3-5k ft of...
I used a 2019 DPX2 and didn’t have any contact on a large frame in high position. I also have an aluminum 7....I don’t know what fits on the carbon frames
Thanks. I figured it out. I had broke a spoke on trail and the remaining inch of spoke at the hub wedged into the cassette locking the hub from freecoasting which made the cranks sound as if the were spinning backwards...hopefully that didn’t cause any damage, as I rode the final 6 miles like...
