I removed the upper mount of my shock for you…I’ve never heard of making different ID shocks of the same size so if it’s is different….it’s either counterfeit or drilled out, but my guess is it’s the same.

You haven't installed the DU bushing from the RS yet......Remove the 2 black sleeves, press out the long pin, then you need a bushing tool to press out the DU bushing from the RS shock. this is what they look like.
It's full carbon, and actually a bit lighter than a Fox Factory 38 170mm, and feels stiffer as well. (I have a Fox 38 on my Rail, Trust Shout on my Evil Wreckoning V3, and Orbea Rallon.)
I’d say my Rail 7 has more than enough clearance to run a 29x2.8” tire. I wouldn’t even try on rim with less than a 35mm id. On a 30mm rim 2.6” is perfect. TBH there isn’t many options in 2.8” for 29” wheels and the ones that are out there especially WTB are insanely heavy
I'm running a 230x65mm 2021 Fox DHX2, 169mm rear travel that gains progressivity deeper into the travel, on a lrg aluminum Rail 7...but i'm unsure of Carbon fitment...I think resi will fit but seat stay bridge may not have clearance.
For me the DHX2 coil felt 10 times better than the DPX2 I tried out on it and 1000 times better than the stock Deluxe that my Rail came with. It matches perfectly with the Fox 38 170 up front.
I reused the factory cable when I installed my OneUp 210mm. Zero Issues, You just have to release the Cables brackets so u can pull the post out with current cable attached. It took me 5 minutes
It's not even released yet. Not supposed to ship until mid August. Reservior looks shorter than the Resi on the DHX2. @NotSoSikMik Do you know the dimensions of the E-Storia's reservoir?
I think what really matters is if you like Data....seeing Elevation gained, HR, Ride time, or any of the other info Garmins/Stages/Wahoo's give and like being able to set up custom data screens to suit ur needs then its great. Great info for use as training tool as well. If you typically use a...
Definitely bigger but if you crash and hit that location above the stem....its gonna hit any size bike computer. I have a 1030 and an 830....830 is half the size of the 1030. The only time either were damaged was when my chest/body knocked them off during a crash....damage was from bouncing...
Works perfectly fine on Single track, size isn't an issue at all and that's riding down Rocky Black Diamond descents. If you run a Garmin 830-1030 above ur stem then its really no different tbh.
