Ah, nevermind then. Working nearby,so im gonna go for a ride there after work and give it a quick explore. I seem to remember reading somewhere before that there is a decent downhill single track section near Carrot farm up above the forestry, so im assuming there are probably some other trails...
Ah,ok. I misunderstood you, thought it was all the same one.
Certainly a cheap setup for the battery and inverter. Might look at getting the same eventually. Generator provides more charges, but with 2 power packs charged at home, and then almost a charge for each of them out of the leisure...
Hopefully someone will correct me if ive got this wrong, still trying to understand it all myself.
Your 130ah battery if 12 volts gives 1560wh, and i believe you lose some through the inverter,so if its 20% losses = 1248wh.
So even draining the battery completely, you get 2 full charges of...
Ive just received my spare 625 today.
I considered a leisure battery/inverter setup, and also a inverter generator, for when im away in the van.
Generator would let me charge as many times as i want, if got fuel, but noisy etc.
Unless spending quite a bit on the leisure battery, im only...
Bought online, but they have a shop in Glasgow. Didnt want to have to navigate glasgow. Think the bike came up from down south anyway. Think i got lucky as they went out of stock not long after i bought.
The route is from near Killin. Approaching Creag MacRànaich – Gleann Dubh descent Loop from...
I use Viewranger, forget what it costs, but gives me all the maps also. Some of the other apps look like they do route planning better though. Just got to plan routes better in that im still allowing for all the time id spend pushing my bike up the hill. Not the case anymore :)
Also, just...
Identical to mine which is the 2021 version. No fancy kickstand for pictures here though, just some compressed sandwiches.
Need to get used to planning longer trips on this. This ride would have taken me a few hours on my normal bike, and i would have been knackered at the end of it. Instead i...
I wear Rohan trousers that have a waterproof lining. Think its the Dry Frontier type on their site.
I like them, wear them for walking mostly. Pretty waterproof, but do get a bit sweaty sometimes.
Not bike specific though, so may not suit everyone. Do get a little tight when mounting the bike...
Thats pretty much how i got it in the end. Some fairy liquid helped get most of it seated bar the last bit, then i pumped up by hand, it mostly popped on, then just ran the tyre levers around it a bit and it finally popped. Surprised i hadnt pinched the tube after all the mucking about, but seems...
Looking good, got the same bike last weekend.
If thats Whitelees, i was thinking about going there today myself, but just went local after too long trying to fix a puncture. Those tyres are a bugger to get seated.
Only issue with mine so far is the key lock for the battery clamp seems a bit...
So i checked, and on the inside of the frame, behind the battery, there are markings and slots for a 625 battery position, and 500. Nothing for the 400.
Never tried it, but looks like you remove a rubber cover, undo one bolt and the clamp should slide down to the slot labelled for the 500...
Thanks mrpeaski, ill check later and see if that is the case. Though I've ordered another 625 instead, figured there wasn't much of a saving to be made. And saves the bother of moving the clamp
Been looking into this myself and was leaning towards an inverter generator also, seemed to be the simplest.
To understand better, and correct me if im wrong... The 100Ah battery mentioned above, if 12v, contains 1200wh? And ive read you lose 20% through the inverters. So 960wh.
So if you...
Never had a full suss so cant comment on that.
2021 model. I couldnt find many places with stock either, and was originally looking at the Trek Powerfly, but discovered a bike shop near me had my size in stock online of the cube, so i got lucky. And they are now out of stock of it.
I havent noticed much resistance. Not cycled anything in 2 years ,so my leg fitness isnt the best, but i can keep it above the speed limit fairly easy when on the flat. Only 2 rides so far, so maybe ill notice more in time, but pretty happy so far.
Did 15 miles the first night after receiving...
Received my Hybrid Reaction Pro 625 at the weekend.
My first ebike, so i cant compare to anything else, but i love it. Though no one warned me about the all the flies you swallow on the first ride. Couldnt stop smiling!
Thinking about buying a spare battery to increase the distance i can ride...
