I tried to limit myself to eco and tour when i first got the bike, and it was great. More than enough power. Now its mostly emtb mode, and i use turbo briefly for really steep stuff, or keep it on turbo for long boring rides home.
Going backwards from Emtb down to Eco is a shock after getting...
Ive never had any bad comments. Had a few normal bikers ignore me, likely because of the ebike, but thats it.
From the amount of hate ive read online for ebikes,i was surprised the first time i visited Innerleithen a few months ago to see the amount of ebikes there. Fairly high proportion of...
The minch moor circuit from Innerleithen is decent if looking for something more xc. Can use some of the red trails as part of it, and also extend it further if you wanted.
Battery really depends on your mileage and use. If just short commutes and bike parks/natural trails less than 30 miles or so, 625w is probably plenty. Certainly more than enough that it shouldnt put you off the stereo 120 hybrid if thats what you want.
I have the cube hybrid reaction 2021...
I gave it a watch.Good stuff. Ive purchased the Poweroak ac200p now. Bit more than i wanted to spend. But its christmas, almost? And it was on sale on amazon. Thats my excuses.
To clarify for anyone else reading, The poweroak ac versions, (Rob did a review of one) can be charged from the 12v...
It was via an answer by Poweroak to an amazon question that i found out you cant charge the eb's via 12v.
"Can it be charged directly from the cigarette/12v socket in the dashboard?
Hello friend,
Sorry our this power station only can charged by AC adapter and PV charge,
it's cannot...
By EB i mean the Bluettie EB150 etc. Not sure the full difference between them and the AC versions, but i think they can be charged straight from 12v charger.
Would be charged from mains before i go.So the charge time from mains isnt really an issue for me either.
They are a bit pricy, although at £1000 for the 1500wh its not that bad. But then its "only" another £500 for the 2400wh version.
Didnt realise the EB versions cant be charged from your...
Are you still getting on ok with the bluetti? Thinking about buying one and came across this thread.
Am i right in thinking that the Bluetti 150, which is 1500w, would then be about 1200wh capacity after losses.
So for my 625wh bike batteries, i could potentially get almost 2 full charges...
I use the evoc pack also, carry a spare 625 on most rides and i also dont really notice the weight that much. I always carried a pack anyway, so kind of used to it, but i dont think twice about taking the battery. No more worries about range would be worth a slight discomfort for me anyway even...
I use Evoc E-RIDE pack for my 625 bosch battery.
Don't really notice the weight that much, I take spare pretty much every ride, "just in case"
Forget the model actually, might not be called E-RIDE. Trail ride?
I have the evoc ebike pack, and carry my spare 625wh battery on pretty much every ride now "just in case".
I always ride with a pack anyway, but i really dont notice the added weight of the battery much at all.
Tried adjusting your seat height?
I get back pain/sciatica sometimes, and i eventually get a sore hip/low back if riding with my seat too low. Sometimes have to set it a bit higher than it needs to be to help.
Pity i didnt read this earlier, as i had the cover off mine to clean it out today. I dont remember seeing a cable wrapped around like that, but i wasnt really looking for that either.
I generally just look at maps and see if i can make a route, have a google for any mentions on forums, and check trailforks/komoot to see if anything is listed. Then go ride it. Quite often it leads to me standing in a bog wondering how long ago the path disappeared.
I did 30 miles on Sunday to...
Ah i didnt notice the black stuff, thought you had used the foil bubblewrap thats on your wheel arches.I used similar stuff, supposed to be equivalent to a certain thickness of glasswool or pir board, but ive not been away since last september when i fitted it, so not sure if its made much...
