I’m in Lewisham, but want to get out to Surrey Hills, Swinley Forest and Epping Forest. No car though so would have to train it. Epping is easy as I can just jump on the DLR. But Surrey Hills it’s only about an hour from Waterloo to Dorking so am up for that too.
Got the mudhuggers large and frx front. Aesthetically it’s like having a great big yellow spot on your forehead. But it does the job. Although I can’t help but think I’ll be buying another frx front to cover the rear properly like @Tribey has done
You save whatever is the income tax band you’re in, this highest is 42%. Unfortunately it discriminates against lower wage earners, but it was great for me so cent complain!
It’s a scheme that’s been around for years, initially it was limited to £1000, but if your employer has a consumer credit license it’s now £10,000. It’s meant to encourage cycling to work, and cycling in general. No one checks to actually see if you use it to commute to work at all.
It’s a great...
Will be interesting to see how many commuters will switch from public transport to cycling. I am lucky enough that I am only 8 miles from my office, but there should in theory be more cyclists on the road and less people on the tube and trains. But probably not less cars as those who drive...
Where I live in London there are loads of them about, even though technically they aren’t allowed on roads yet. And you are going to need at least a provisional licence to use one, and you can only rent them during the trial.
Will be really interesting to see what this leads to for sure.
Haven’t been the other side of Dartford on the bike but may have to. I was impressed with the battery too though, got home after 65.8km with one bar left. Did it mostly all in emtb mode as well.
First time there, but really enjoyed it. Did a 50m loop from Greenwich down to petts Wood to foots cray and out to Crayford. Then all along the river back. Were some decent trails in the foots cray area for being London at least haha.
Mudhuggers large rear and the frx front. Am impressed with them so far. The rear is less aesthetically pleasing but have to say it grows on me every day.
Yeah it’s always going to be a trade off with something. Maybe a finger print scanner on the on/off button. But yeah any solution is going to add weight. And they are designing an emtb, not a security bike I suppose.
