I’ve been playing around with the motor tune on my 22 advanced and even with the motor set at 20nm in eco it still seems really powerful, and that’s on a 22kg bike. So I assume you guy’s lucky enough to get your hands on the elite will be able to down tune the motor significantly to eek out the...
Ahh, what to buy. A nice problem to have, but a difficult choice these days as nobody really makes a bad bike, especially in the price range you’re looking at. Spesh are still doing some mad discounting at the moment so they look very attractive. I love the Trance (got 2) but not a fan of the...
I was thinking of doing the same with that model but it’s so expensive to do the upgrades. I can lose 3/4 kg off my body weight and have the same affect and it’ll save me ££££. Shame they don’t do a frame only option for the 0 as I don’t like the live valve, would be nice to do your own build on it.
Just replaced my xt chain after 3500km. The stock KMC lasted 1500, so ive stuck with XT.
Just dropped over the 0.5. Im 77kg, bike is 25, riding trail AM, mostly eco and tour all weathers.
I use peatys all weather lube
I use Schwalbe rock razor on the rear and a maxxis Ardent race on the front. Fast rolling set up in the dry and surprisingly good in the slop. No punctures last year with a tubeless set up riding trail/AM, both 2.35
Got the odd mark here and there on the AM rims but no real dents to speak of. The DPS shock is a noticeable upgrade over standard. I’m not a very sensitive rider but it does feel linear throughout the stroke and brings more comfort, important for me on long rides. Not noticed any drop off in...
I’ve got the E-Deemax S30. No issues after 3500km, just done the usual freehub maintenance, very happy with them. Not the lightest set out there but helped by running 2.35 xc tyres and xtr rotors
The standard AM wheels are ok, had no issues with the hubs, but I had to top up the air on a weekly basis with mine so I think it’s a worthy up grade In performance and weight. I went with mavic deemax on my trance but with your weight you can easily go with a much lighter build. However, first...
I used to run a range extender with a 625 but when the 800 came out I sold the RE and bought the 8. It’s a pain loosing the water bottle on long runs. If the 400 was removable I would certainly look at a spare in the backpack.
