    New Bosch SX Motor info

Yes I think the whyte could be the one for me as it’s Uk. The sx with the 600w max is the sweet spot for me. I’ve ridden the shimano 60nm motor in the rise and felt it was a little weak for my needs. It seems the extra watts the sx has will provide the extra bit I’m looking coming down from full...

    New Bosch SX Motor info

Nice one, thanks for the info. Just been checking out the KTM scarp, very nice at 16.5 kg 😁. Struggling to find M1 availability in the Uk 😩

    Syncdrive pro warranty and bearings

Yes that's not a great attitude towards the issue, wait until it completely fails you half way up a mountain on your own miles from anywhere locks up and throws you off (y). id be getting it sorted pronto if it were me.

    Syncdrive pro warranty and bearings

I had one replaced for motor noise, not bearing wear under warranty. A dealer will replace the whole motor in warranty not just the bearings I think. If you want to pay for a repair you can have yours refurbished, but don’t know why you’d want to do that if it’s in warranty 😁

    New Bosch SX Motor info

Anyone heard any more on the new SX motor? Seems to have gone very quiet on this since launch. Can’t seem to find any info on which bikes are likely to have this fitted, or maybe new models, what’s your best guess ? I think I remember reading somewhere that Whyte were planning something but...

50lbs vs 53lbs bike — will it be noticeable?

The trance is a great bike but I think the non removable battery is a put off for some. Once you adding range extenders you may as well buy something like the Orbea wild with a 750 at the Same weight. If they had made it so you could carry and swap out the 400 it’s got I think it would be a winner

Cheers for that, good to know, looks like it’s a contender based on those figures 👍

50lbs vs 53lbs bike — will it be noticeable?

I used to run a range extender on my trance that weighed just under 2kg and I couldn’t tell the difference. Having said that there are guys that say they can tell if it’s 100 grams, so I recon it’s how sensitive you are, Personally I can’t tell.

    Advice wanted re setting suspension

Agree with Rusty on removing the volume spacers. make note of your current settings before doing so and try it without any spacers. There is probably 2 in there from stock that can come out, doing this gave me the ride I wanted. I run fox factory on my trance without spacers and the compression...

    Talon vs Stance e+2

I assume you'll be going for a size large but can't really say if one bike will be more comfortable than the other, you'll have to test and decide. However, I am 54 and 5'11, I ride a trance in size large which has the same reach as the grey bike. Out of the box it was great but as my rides got...

    Talon vs Stance e+2

Ask away mate, no problem here. As far as going cheap on the bike, I really don’t think so. Sure people can say the forks or cranks could be better but if you do those things it’s knocking on the door of being a Trance, and of course it becomes Trance money. I think the price is bang on for the...

    Talon vs Stance e+2

Same , I like the ride control one. It’s a bit chunky compared to the newer version ergo but I prefer the bigger buttons because when I get in a situation where I need power quickly i can just spam the buttons without looking. However this would not be a show stopper on the grey bike, I’d still...

    Talon vs Stance e+2

not sure on the kickstand, not listed as being compatible, best to check with dealer on that one. Did you mean to say charged on and off the bike instead of changed ? If so, yes battery can be charged off the bike via the adapter supplied with the Giant charger

    Talon vs Stance e+2

The grey one has much better spec, stronger motor, range extender compatibility, more travel, boost hubs, udh, better tyres, linkglide, it’s a no brainer, just wish it was on the orange bike 😂
