I was told by a dealer that if there is an issue with a charger I locks itself out to prevent damage and can only be unlocked by Giant, may explain why your second charger works. This happened to my brother on a 625 and the dealer replaced battery and charger because it locked out both.

Didn’t buy it, made it out of scrap wood I had laying around. Stand the bike up in the car with the rear wheel removed allowing the mech to clear. Also will work as a wall hanger 😝
