Hi, yes your LBS is correct, use the battery supplied with the sram kit. Its is technically possible to have it powered by the bike if your an electrical engineer or trained by nasa, but i would strongly advised messing about with your bikes electrics, just dont do it. The battery is simple and...
Try removing the battery from the bike and refitting it, this will reset the system. When the battery is out check the led indicators on the battery to make sure it is charged, also clean the contacts while it is removed. Good luck
Hi, I went from the 80nm motor in my 21 trance to the 85 and felt the new motor was less powerful, and more noisy, actually a step backwards apart from the size difference. Ended up returning the bike because of it. I do a similar route on a 800 battery ie 40% used per lap. If I don’t recharge...
Hi, I fitted an Acros Block Lock bearing set on my 21 trance. Works great, not the cheapest option I would imagine but it’s very low maintenance compared with the standard set up and it’s hidden, just an option for you.
Ok, I see your difficulty with the different shop. Although, and I am a bit biased here being a FAZUA fan, but the original fault was with a modification done by Santa Cruz on the speed sensor if I’m understanding you right, not a faulty FAZUA part, and the second suspicious fault accrued...
Mate that is crazy. You’ve got more patience’s than I have. That would have been a return/replacement in seconds if it had been me. I don’t get why it’s taking so long when FAZUA parts are readily available. Ok I get the speed sensor thing as it’s sounds like that’s a Santa Cruz thing, but all...
My bike has many modifications but I’ve never felt the need to de restrict the motor, it’s fast enough, so I’m ok with the “don’t touch the motor” approach. However, are Giant saying if I change my handle bars this equates to tampering? The following passage suggests this, so clarification is...
Tiny bit of lock tight on the bits you don’t take off on a regular basis won’t do any harm. Once you’ve been over them a few times in the first month there ok after that 👍
Hi, and welcome. Excellent choice of bike 👍.. So to answer your questions. There’s nothing wrong with the Giant app, but I only use it for setup, updates and mileage history. I use third party apps ( Komoot and apple) for recording rides and data as I find these more useful.
You can use Giants...
Bang on, I watched the embn vid and saw it 👍. One thing I was considering changing was to drop the cranks down to 165mm, anyone done that??
I run the shock open with a fair amount of sag which doesn’t help but I get quite a few pedal strikes on the rough stuff, or maybe I should just loose a few...
