Hi, in my view it’s the best way to do it. Get a base bike and mod it to your spec. Sell off or replace the stock bits when worn until it’s your dream build. Even if I could afford a 13k bike there would be something on there that I wouldn’t like, so why not do it 9.5k less. I say “av it bruv” 😎
Hi, yes, the port is dead centre. The rotation of the bars is normally set to match your head angle, so around 64 degrees, not quite sure what you mean at 0 degrees. Anyhoo, had a look at your stem and it’s quite similar to mine, so I think you’d be ok. If you did need a bit more room you could...
It was the high pitched screeching noise at high cadence which wasn’t cured by changing the motor. Found to be a “ characteristic” of the 2022 motor, not a fault. Wasn’t something I could put up with so Giant gave me a full refund and took the bike back 😁
Interesting what you say on batteries. I’ve got the FAZUA ride 60 system with a 430 battery and I’m getting 1300 mtrs of vertical, which is the same as the 800wh in my ff. However, I ride solo, and for sure I’m far slower on the sl over the same distance, consuming the same amount of battery...
I think your body weight shouldn’t matter, you’re still going to feel the difference coming from ff to sl, it’s just going to be a bit slower. If you can afford both then do it. The more you ride the sl the fitter you will become. I’ve just bought an sl after riding my ff for nearly 3 yrs. it...
I’m using sks mudrocker on the rear and a mudhugger on the front, Ride wrap full kit. Would recommend oneup carbon E bars and oneup 100cc pump with edc tool if you like to ride with a pump. Fits with the inline bracket nicely on the top down tube, but you do have to lower the water bottle cage...
Follow the steps in the vid and you’ll be golden, and remember to set your B gap at your sag point on the shock. I measured mine (41mm) as per the vid, didn’t use any of the kit tools
Followed this guys video when I first did it. I’ve since used it on xt, xtr and deore cassettes. I’ve put an xx1 axs mech on my new bike recently, so can say that also works. Personally I’ve on used shimano chains, but there’s no reason why your 12 kmc wouldn’t work.
